Capcom Marvel vs. Capcom 3

the only whay you'd get those mind boggling number of characters is if they recycled the sprites they made back in the mid to late 90sl which really isnt a feasible option. Sprites would look amazing but only if they used original ones. Sprites take way too much time to develop and if they went that route we'd get even less characters than with the models. Look how many times SSF2HD Remix got delayed. SF IV almsot came out before it, despite it being announced months after. Sprite based games take a long time to create and animate characters bc sprites have to be hand drawn. Its why the last King of Fighters had 20 characters (which redid their graphics) despite the last one having closer to 50 (when they kept recycling the old models)
Fair enough. I didn't realize they took that long.
oh you know you'll buy it regardless...lol
I really won't. It takes a lot for me to buy a game at $60 a pop these days. I have Gamefly for everything other than the games that impress me most.

I think it's a safe bet to say Dormammu will be in this game. It's very apparent in this pic, that he mentioned:

It also makes sense, considering this "two worlds" thing.

Looking at the title of the game, I'm really worried about the story. If they go with the classic merging of two worlds, just like MKvDC did it, how are they gonna explain Capcom's world? Will they just say they all inhabit the same planet? That would be just weird.

I'm not really bothered about the story. I mean, i don't play fighting games for the story like i do with RPGs or adventure games.

They're some people(not here) who don't want Wolverine in the game because he "doesn't have the coolest power." Regardless of this stance towards the character, a Marvel fighting game without Wolverine just isn't right. He's almost as well known as Spider-man and he's the most popular out of all the X-men.

People who judge characters on their powers alone are idiots so they're not worth paying attention to really.

But Wolverine would have a cool fighting style anyway.

Wolverine ain't got no projectiles to spam, that's why they don't want him. I rented Tatsunoko vs. Capcom for Wii, and played online, and as soon as someone chooses a team like Ryu and another Ryu-like character I'm like, goddamn.

Its a fighting game. The plots are usually either ovenly complicated or rather weak. The stories werent too prevalent in the last games. I like that there will be a story but Im not expecting some masterpiece and frankly dont care exactly how it turns out. Its just nice to have something to support the single player aside from simply going from fight to fight

Yea i had that problem playing Street Fighter 4 online. People just constantly spamming projectiles. Takes zero skill... and is annoying as hell.

Reading them talking about special attacks, I hope we have the kind of "Maximum Spider'' crazy-like special attacks again.

I'm just looking forward to see the characters interact with each other. It would be great if we had some long cutscenes like in MKvsDC. I want to see Dante's cocky attitude toward some of the Marvel characters, Deadpool making some 4th wall gaming comments about the Capcom characters, stuff like that.

Hope they keep Captain Americas stars & stripes and charging star.

Deadpool and Ken would be classic. "Everyone knows they just keep putting you in for the newbs who can't handle Ryu, blondie!" :lmao:

"I would introduce you to something we call pants in our world, but the demography prefers the view."

"Ok, seriously, what's with these progammer's fetish for big thighs? Girl, you get more and more disproportionate with each new entry."

haha yea they are awesome. i love the metal gear solid one where he is creeping along under the card board box and that exclamation mark pops up.

If Pool isn't funny in this I'll riot. :cmad:

A small riot, like turn over a trash can or something.

Ok, another VS game by Capcom, another Mega Man representative. We got classic Mega Man in both MvC games, Tron Bonne joined the fray in MvC2, in Tatsunoko vs Capcom we had Mega Man from the Legends series, Roll (why?) and Zero from the X series. Who do you think we'll get in this game?

I really hope Mega Man X gets a chance to shine this time, even Mega Man.EXE made a fighting debut in Onimusha Blade Warriors. As a second I'd want Vile, but we might probably get Zero again.
