Does it matter? He will still play like Spiderman. He has the same exact costume and will look only slightly smaller. I dont think its that big of a deal

The Spider-Man reboot is rumored (or confirmed, whatever) to be based on the Ultimate universe and then there's also the Utlimate Spider-Man TV series they're making. I guess they're trying to push Ultimate Spidey in everything...for some reason.

Not for nothing but I'm not fond of the Ultimate Universe.It won't bother me too much but I don't like Marvel is trying to push it in every form of media when the Ultimate line in the comics is on it's death kneel.

I'm thinking the approach that Capcom is taking with the Marvel characters is they are trying to use the more recent incarnations of them. Doesn't mean that they will play any different from before. Ultimate Spider-Man may very well have the same moveset as Spider-Man from the other 2 games.

Doc Ock's a weird one. I mean at first you'd think he'd fit right in, maybe be another Omega Red. However when I tried a fan made version on Mugen (which I know, it's fanmade, Capcom would do different things), he was pretty bland. Even tho the person who made him did an excellent job on how it looked, I just can't say Doc Ock added anything to the experience. Which is why I say it's odd, you'd think him being such a big Spidey villain would make him a good fit, and 4 tentacles would add good diversity, but it just didn't (again, I know Mugen =/= Capcom final product).

I think you might have misunderstood what they ment. It was just a wish list on their part.

I don't think it's overreacting. On my part I was just saying "IF" it turns out like that I'll be less inclined to buy it. It's all personal taste, not everyone wants to go with the flow if a series completely changes it's mechanics. I even said that I'm giving Capcom the benefit of the doubt and think it'll still be MVC and not just TVC reskinned.

However you have to realize that while you like TVC, not everyone feels the same. Gameplay is pretty much everything in a fighting game to me. Even if I like the characters, if the gameplay isn't satisfying to me, it's just not worth a purchase to me. I mean I loved Uncharted 1, and then 2 changed the forumla a bit but it was improvements, and 2 became my favorite game this gen so far. Yet if Uncharted 3 became a pure Tomb Raider clone, I wouldn't buy it purely because Drake's in it. Same here, if MVC stops being MVC, then I'm not going to buy it purely because it has Marvel and Capcom characters in it. The same way I stopped playing Mortal Kombat after 3 because it just stopped being MK to me.

But, with that said, like said above, I doubt it'll lose that MVC feeling. I'm sure it'll be a great game. I just, like I said, agree with Tim that I'm not into a complete overhaul to dumb down the system or make it TVC 2.

Except again, there is always gameplay difference in each new fighting game MvC2 didn't play like MvC 1 and MvC 3 was never going to be exactly like MvC2, there was always going to be some difference. This is a sequel, not a remake.

And again, we haven't even seen gameplay videos, so it's a bit early to jump the gun.

I mean, i understand where you're coming from, but we don't have much to go on at this point in time.

Does look great. But i never liked that Iron Man pulled out some massive gun out of no where. I mean, it's kinda redundant for a character who basically is a weapon platform anyway.

Come on part of the fun of MVC is the fact it's so silly.It's also nice to see that Spider-man's thanksgiving day parade balloon makes an appearance.
