Capcom Marvel vs. Capcom 3

I really hope the Marvel characters arent siimply their previous versions with prettier graphics. Some characters like Storm need an overhaul bc her moves sucked

Storm is one of the BEST characters in the game

I found her attacks pretty weak compared to X-men: COTA. I didnt like the button motions to use them and the visuals for her were overall unimpressive. Her special attacks werent that good

Honestly, I want everyone re-done. Hopefully Capcom's been working on this game for a while. They could just take the SF characters from SFIV & then only do new stuff for the Marvels & other Capcom people.

Here's what I'd want for Marvel:
Captain America
Spider-Man
Iron Man
Thor
Hulk
Mr. Fantastic
Invisible Woman
Thing
Human Torch
Cyclops
Wolverine
Storm
Iceman
Deadpool
Iron Fist
Magneto
Dr. Doom
Venom
Green Goblin

Add:
Luke Cage (Felt wrong to have Iron Fist, but not him)
War Machine (WITH DIFFERENT MOVES FROM IRON MAN!!! :cmad: )
Juggernaut
Spider-Woman
Doctor Octopus
Nova

25 for each side, sounds like a big roster & a nice surprise IMO.

What would turn me away:
  • They used the SFIV engine
    The unbalanced gameplay (see MvC2)
The excess of X-Men characters (no more mutants)

do you think they have to do 3 on 3? Would you accept 2 on 2 or would you consider that a downgrade?
It would be even better if we could choose 3 on 3 or 2 on 2 before the match.

As long as the characters feel as fast, the designs as wicked and the controls as responsive as 1 and 2, I'll have loads of fun.

Like Spider-Man or Ryu, for example, my fav chars. I use Spidey for close combat because of his fast movements and attacks, and Ryu is good with range attacks, like his special attack Hadouken. I'd like that again in this game.

They should try to balance it out between the Avengers, X-Men & other characters. Also, they should only include characters that are popular. No Marrows, Shuma Goraths or Silver Samurais (all of which I've never heard of until I played MvC2.)

If it aint broke, dont fix it. MvC2 was fantastic. Up the graphics and bring on the game. Cant wait to actually see this game in motion. Awesome.

I agree. Though, maybe not completely redone, but at least some neat changes.

I agree that the game needs not much more X-Men, but I find lesser known characters add a certain something to the games. Sure, Shuma Gorath and Blackheart aren't the most well known characters, but it's nice to see underrepresented characters get their chance, even if it is at the expense of Nightcrawler and Reed Richards.

I also like to see a few obscure characters and less well known, they can be great too. Though Shuma Gorath was't really needed. But I thought Marrow was pretty cool.

Marrow was one of the better new additions in MvC2

If you mean characters who are unknown to the public, but are popular to comic fans like Nova & Iron Fist, then I agree with you.

I don't want any characters that I don't know of inplace of major characters or cult characters like the 2 I mentioned.

Well, one man's Lady Deathstrike is another man's Miss Marvel, I suppose.

One of the few things that would truly piss me off about the roster is if they brung ORIGINAL characters into the mix, like Amingo, and Ruby Heart. In a crossover game, it's all about X vs Y. That Capcom took the time to create sprites and code for those two, when there where no shortage of other, better characters available boggles the mind. Perhaps they where from a scrapped game or something.

I didn't really have a problem with either of them. I just thought of them as more Capcom characters

I didnt mind them either. For the longest time I thought Amingo was from Sega's series Samba de Amigo

Some things on Marvel's side would make me very happy.

Gambit and Cyclops stay in.

Nova and Daredevil are added in.

So is this actually coming?!?! :awesome:

Nova and Deadpool have GOTTA be in there. Imagine Nova's move set? :wow:

Confirmed characters so far are Wolverine, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Magneto, Storm and a few others will return.

• The Marvel vs. Capcom 3 development team said they will be blowing fans out of the water with the sheer number of characters this game includes on the disc.

• This will be another 2D fighter — gameplay-wise — but will be something of a cross between the original Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Street Fighter 4.

• The rumored release date is late 2010 or early 2011 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, no plans right now for other systems.

• The game will run in 1080p resolution.

• It will be a disc-based release.

• Apparently the game will have unlockables again.

• Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be playable at this year's E3 which is held on June 15 - 17th.
I posted this on another board I post on and theres a poster I talk to that has been collaborating with Capcom for weeks and officially said this is very innacurate. He cant go into details until tomorrow after 11am but it seems as if the info on this is wrong. I have every reason to trust him

As long as it's true that another MvC is in the making, I'm cool. I don't sweat the small details.

I sure hope so. I cant wait to hear some official confirmation
