Capcom Marvel vs. Capcom 3

I'm slowly losing my entire enthusiasm. I'm currently playing MvC2 and can't even beat the game on easy. I'm getting stuck on the freaking 3rd and 4th level. What the hell am I gonna do in MvC3?
Hurry go play Tatsunoko Vs Capcom and Feel better :awesome:

Yea 4 was stupidly hard. I hope they make this one more accessable to all.

I actually ordered it 2 days ago, so I get to play it next week.

I didn't think it was that hard. Sure, I got stuck a couple times and I ****ing hate Zangief and Blanka. :argh: But it's nowhere near as a pain in the ass as MvC2. At least in SFIV, you don't have assists constantly jump into your face or the opponent keeps jumping sky high or dashes back and forth the entire time.

I never found the original MvC2 hard. It seems they bumped up the difficulty when they ported it last year

That's actually exactly how I felt when Street Fighter 4 came out. I was super-excited because I had fond memories of hours whiled away in arcades on Street Fighter 2, but then I got my ass kicked on every setting and couldn't seem to pull off any moves at all. So I packed it up after like half an hour and sent it right back to Gamefly.

I fully expect to not really enjoy this game, but I'll have to at least give it a try for the Marvel characters. :o

Every one of my friends and I were excited for SF4, and then we got the game and hated it. I doubt MvC3 will have the same effect, unless it plays like SF4.

I think they will tone down the difficulty for this one, simply because it's going to appeal to a much wider audience. Sure Street Fighter still has a massive fan base, but adding Marvel to the mix you're getting a whole new fanbase.

Thinking about the story I think the final boss will be Dormmamu. They said it be a boss marvel fans will appreciate plus it makes sense since Dormmamu travels through different dimensions and would be able to bring this universes together.

I never found MvC2 hard too, and I use to play it on the hardest dificulty.
Perhaps the downloadable version is harder than the PS2 version?

Maybe Mephisto? GASP! Maybe Avengers Disassembled Scarlet Witch? Or the Void?

At least Cable is still as cheap as always. I was freaking annoyed by the final round and chose his overpowered ass. Took the last form of the boss down with 2 supers.

I read TvC was simplified quite a bit, by only having 3 attack buttons. Not that MvC2 has so much more. I was suprised to rediscover that the game only had 4 attack buttons. When I downloaded it I wondered where the heck the shoulder button attacks were. Anyway, back to TvC. So it was simplified, but supposedly has lost any of it's depth. At least Fightersgeneration.com rates it very highly with 9/10.

Out of curiosirty, what's the highest score you guys did in MvC2? And with what team?

I wanted to include a couple of the monster-type characters, you know, from Resident Evil such as Nemesis or Tyrant, but they were considered a little to grotesque and disgusting and for ratings reasons they just didn't make it.

thank god they arent using the SF IV engine

I dont mind the FF not in if that rumor of Super Skrull holds up

Id have to pull my Dreamcast out to remember my score, but i know my highest score was done using Spider-Man, Venom and Cable. That was my best team, but i also loved using Juggernaut, Hulk and Sentinel.

I hope this doesnt play like SFIV, that bothered me to no end and the combos were to hard for a novice like me, i much prefer MvC2 I hope they keep similar controls but just tweak it visually an so on.

I think my biggest was 2.88 billion, using Gambit, Jim and Strider. Never made it to 3 billion. Not even close to my record anymore, actually.

Seeing as Super Skrull is just all the powers of the fantastic four combined and all the clues in the trailer and image I say Super Skrull at this point is guaranteed. In fact given the two images released I think the following are all a given

Super Skrull
Captain America
Deadpool
Felicia
Dante
Chun Li

The other blanked ones I'm not too sure about but these to me are without a doubt in.

I'd add Dormammu. The gloves, those curved things, the flame head. The silhouette fits perfectly.

Button-mashers ftw, Hushster! :awesome:

I suck at button-mashing. MvC2 is proof of that. I need my 3 buttons for punches and 3 buttons for kicks.

I hope I'll have better luck in Tatsunoko vs Capcom.

The game needs to be skill based. You shouldn't be able to win by just mashing buttons. If you aren't good at fighting games, i say tough. Not every one is good at everything.
