Marvel vs. Capcom: A Thread of Two Worlds

I actually found Galactus to be easier in this game. Its his heralds that are the pain, but as long as I can beat them, taking out Galactus is no big deal

Galactus is making me want to punt my controller.

I've never had Galactus hit me with a single move that killed three characters, I'm not sure what you're talking about there. The best thing to do, I think, is to have a strong single move that you can spam pretty easily. Get right next to him and spam that move until he makes a move, block, and then back to spamming that move. There area couple moves you need to superjump to avoid, but you should be able to get the timing down on those after a couple tries. If he's about to do that really strong move of his that can kill your character, either make sure you have the character in that you'd rather have die, or be ready to x-factor and then chickenblock (you might not have to chicken block, but he hit me with it once when I was blocking on the ground in x-factor and it got me, so I started jumping and blocking and then it never hit me again). Rinse and repeat and it should be pretty easy to beat him. I did it three times just to get the titles for my main team, and it went by pretty quick, actually had more trouble playing the ridiculous computer in very hard mode in the last match leading up to him.

Iron Fist with chi power up and x factor is godly against Galactus.

he just spammed that blue beam that fills the screen

literally, i finish off the heralds nemesis lands, blue beam, GR jumps in blue beam, wolverine doesn't even land, blue beam

soooo.....any word on if there will be more DLC characters?

Sadly not. It's been pretty quiet on the 'MvC news front. Hopefully we'll hear something after SFxTekken comes out.

I cannot(first time really getting into fighting games)figure out how to do a dual ultra combo..or even triple.loving the game though so far.

^^^^ Press both assist buttons together when you have at least 2 bars of super meter

So I just started using Phoenix to her full potential (i.e. Dark Phoenix) and I had a random question. On the settings where you choose damage (light, medium, heavy), does the rate of the supers bar go up the same regardless, or if I were to do "light", would it take longer for the super to go up.

The reason I'm asking is cause when we play vs, the games are sometimes really fast, and I'd love to utilize Dark Phoenix which would be easier if the hit counts were lower and the match lasted a little longer - but if that causes the super combo meter to go up more slowly, then that doesn't really make a difference which mode I play.

The game sold over 600,000 copies, which is just as good as SSF4 did. Hopefully this means we'll be seeing atleast one more round of characters! :D

Yea, they're way off. Where is VGchartz getting their numbers? Cant be NPD.

I guess half the game itself has to be DLC, before the players start to speak with their wallets.

What a shame. I always look at their numbers.
It's also hard to believe in Capcom's word. Can't trust anyone, these days.

If it is true, then the players are showing them that their troll tactic still works.

I doubt Capcom would lie on it's official reports. Also, I don't see how Ultimate was a troll tactic. Not including MM was a troll tactic, but not the game itself.

After all of their tons of bs statements with the first game, I don't feel like doubting anything anymore. Not from them. Like ''Nemesis is too grotesque to be in it'' or ''Iron Fist is too punchy to be in'' or ''we can't figure what to do with Ghost Rider's bike so that's why he isn't in'' or ''we can't make Megaman's moveset without turning him into a completely different character'', even though they have done him in the past for the other two MvC and TvC, and now doing him, his worst version, in a game where no one asked for him. Let's also remember the story mode that they promised, which would be better than the story mode in many other fighting games. They're full of lies, and this is just some of those.

Ultimate was a troll tactic because they gave us a beta game without warning us. They didn't even give it a year. Just some months later, they ''say'': ''here is the full game''. Now throw the other version in the trash. Why keep it? Also, besides giving many excuses why they wouldn't do some characters before, they did them now. They even came up with many interesting moves for some of them, like Phoenix Wright, who is just an attorney (and they say they're unable to do it for Megaman, who is a fighter).

Funny thing, I would actually have bought many of the things they did if it was DLC, like Vergil, Iron Fist, Nemesis, maybe Nova, and some of the stages. Perhaps some alternate skins. Doing that, I'd probably pay more than I would for a new disc, but I'd preserve the life of my game, instead of completely forgeting about it and leave it collecting dust, which would be the true loss, to me.

or... you could do what i did, and trade in the game... and pay $15-20 for the new one... which would be the equivalent of what it would have cost to have all the new additions be DLC?

I'm still waiting for the next version and the extra 8 characters they didn't have time to add.

Or they could have released the complete game instead of the unfinished version.

Besides, I can't find a new version to trade. I don't want to keep buying their games if a new version might come up within a year.

? you just take the game into a bestbuy (better deals then gamestop) and they'll buy it off you for store credit..

either way you look at it (finished or not) there was bound to be at least $15 of DLC.. which is about what i ended up paying for the new game, after i traded in the old one.

Man, not everyone lives in the same country. I don't have bestbuys or gamestops, over here.

Besides, the thing is: if I knew for sure a new version would come out, I'd wait a little longer instead of purchasing the unfinished version. Since I did, and I can't trade, I want to preserve the life of my game.

well.. than next time a capcom game comes out.. just wait a few months. I mean.. it's not like there weren't rumors, assumptions, or speculations about another edition coming out when this one did. We were all pretty much aware that the probability would lean that way.. but most of us still bought the game anyway
