Kind of like how if, instead of the classic 616 Wolverine, we got Ultimate Wolverine or Hugh Jackman movie Wolverine.

yeah, the Ultimate/movie Wolverine would technically be a new character, with a new look, new moves, and new play style vs the classic Wolverine. He would be different.

but to me, it's still Wolverine.

and from an excitement point of new, that wouldn't be as exciting as if they revealed a totally brand new character like Scarlet Witch or Magik.

Would he? Wolverine across all versions is functionally the same. He doesnt have different powers or abilities, the same way X and MM Classic do. What you mention is more along the lines of Wolverine and Wolverine (bone claws) in MvC2 both of which had VERY minor differences. X and MM's differences are pretty significant. X and MM Classic would be more along the lines of Wolverine (Logan) and Wolverine (Laura). Both share a codename but function quite differently

Happy that the gameplay actually looks like it's from MvC game, the first gameplay reveal made it look like Street Fighter X Tekken.

you guys may both be right. And I think the Spiderman/2099 comparison is better.

I'm just saying for my own excitement level, I would like to see totally brand new characters, not just different versions of existing character - even if they play differently gameplay wise.

I want to see other Avengers, X-Men, FF, and Capcom characters we haven't yet seen before in the Vs series.

lol I was thinking the same thing him fighting ryu he does his hydoken and you playing as chris counter with say ing Bolder punchhhhhhhhhhhh. and bolderforms out thin air rolling to ward Ryu un able to escape or Steroid rushHHHHHHH. it 'll be stupid I know . but hilarious.

Unless they bring darkhawk in, I may give this a pass and stick with umvc3, hopefully enough people keep playing that online if infinite really strips out all the best mechanics that made 3 so much fun.

Watching the new videos and breakdowns, it seems the game is more classic MvC then anything. Not MvC3, but what came before.

Nothing will ever come close to MvC 2 as far as entertainment value and obscure easter eggs, but it is what it is. They used ****ing Marrow for Chrissakes.

Well, that was back before a Marvel-owned-by-Disney micromanaged the roster and controlled who had to get in and who they weren't invested in driving. Back then there was no focus on marketing for the movie characters, and you could possibly get anyone.

I have the fondest memories of Xmen vs SF ( because it was the 1st in the vs series ) and MvC 2 ( because it was the most fun ).

speaking of which, it would be nice if we could get a new Rival Schools game or at least get some Rival Schools representation in MvC Infinite. Hinata, Tiffany, or Akira would be nice.

Are you actually being serious? Doctor Doom has been featured in the games. Galactus was one of the boss fights. Silver Surfer and Super Skrull too. Doom, Surfer, and Super Skrull have all been playable characters.

Also, Jack Kirby helped co-create Captain America over 20 years before the Fantastic Four. So quite frankly, get out of here with this nonsense because that's exactly what it is.

johnny storm and ben are still around on earth johnny storm is part of the avenger unity devision with Rogue as leader it's made up of X-men and most avenger members and he was with flip flop medusa as love interest. which bugged Crystal.


This was all after Reed rebuilt the world/universe . he left to finish raising his family as space traveles. an older version Franklin and sister came back to help the heroes for bit and left . Reed's alter reality double the maker is planning something with other evil versions of Reed . and at some point Reed and sue will make a come with their kids who are the new fantastic 4

the other's are very likely. Not sure abouT Yondu(they may make a villain still) but we'll see.

well I and other got to have them in games like marvel avengers allience (which ended last year) and marvel heroes with added omega to it's s name . the latter of which is coming on to consoles. And they were in those two games. I guess I'm just a brotha that just knows how pick the games they will show up in with out restrictions or worry . well see what happen's here.
