Life Support never got filled up or used, I imagine they saved that spot for a DLC squadmate.

And yeah, I'd be up for a Batarian or a female Turian, or hell a Vorcha.

Mass Effect: Paragon Lost is an upcoming anime prequel to Mass Effect 3 that follows the early career of James Vega. His crew of elite Special Forces go to battle against the Collectors.

Of all the characters they could have based an Anime on, why Vega?

Cause they wanted to promote him as a new character. In other words this was set before the final games launch. and it's his background story before guarding shepard and becoming part of the crew. It's how he got the job to meet shep.

I've seen the Halo, Dead Space and Dragon Age animes late at night against my better judgment. I'd like to say I won't end up watching this... but I know I will. :(

The Halo one's were a mix of some good some I was indifferent to but not bad. DADOS was meh for me and I saw that last month. I didn't see Dead space and have yet too.

Dead Space's first one is really hated on. It's Notoriously horrible (from what I've heard) because of how it actually contradicted the game's story in some instances.

Which, if we're going to support the cross media promotion of a game franchise...not stepping on said game's toes and contradicting it seems like something that should be near the top priority.

They should have made an Anime, about Garrus' time on Omega. That's something I'd love to see. I simply don't give a rat's ass about Vega.

That explains why it was recommended and isn't in view of where I go to pick that stuff up. thank on the info chris. On Garrus's time on omega, that would be cool to see. But as things are now, it'll depend on how this one with Vega is received.

Yeah, it was full of weird inconsistencies, the plasma cutter turns into a energy chainsaw at one point if memory is right. There are also a few moments we saw in DS via video that play out pretty differently in the anime that stuck out but the end was particularly bad when the Marker starts to outright physically keep all of the Necromorphs at bay.

You should read the 3rd issue of Homeworlds.

I like Vega but there's only 2-3 characters in ME that are not named Shepard that can support their own solo adventures, Garrus being the first and foremost.

Eh. I guess it's worth a rental. I kind of wish they'd focus on comics and novels. I've read the first two mass effect trades and found them enjoyable enough. I'm reading the first novel and liking it so far. It fits in very well with the first game, and it's interesting enough for me to not want to put it down. The trailer looks very mediocre. Vega is probably my second least favorite squad mate (Ashley is my least favorite). Still, after my first play through, I liked him way more than I thought I would. I enjoyed his banter with Cortez.

I don't like the way vega looks in the trailer. He does not look anything like his videogame counterpart.

I think they could have even done a Mass Effect Anime, without focusing on any on of the characters from the Trilogy. Halo Legends for example, had some good episodes, that didn't focus on Master Chief.

They could have made an Anime about the time humans built their first Mass Effect core and met the other races of the Galaxy. Make an Anime about the 'First Contact War' or the 'Skyllian Blitz'. Other suggestions I have seen were the fall of the Protheans or Liara dealing with the Shadow Broker, to recover Shepard. There are so many interesting story lines, they could have adapted into an Anime. But no, we get James Vega. One of the most bland characters in the Mass Effect Trilogy.

Sometimes I just don't understand the decision process of these big companies.

I'm all for squad-less ME installments. I have to wonder how much money companies even make off of these things.

I still like Vega, he's definitely the best of the "normal soldier guy" character that they've been trying to get right with Kaidan and Jacob - but I'll most certainly agree he is in no way shape or form leading man material.

The Liara/Shadowbroker stuff's been handled in the Redemption comics btw. :o

I guess I need to finally read some of these comics. Haven't picked up a single issue yet.

The one dealing with Cerberus vs Aria for Omega, Invasion, is the best one imo.

Redemption is not bad. It's nothing amazing, but it does a decent job of showing how shepard's remains got into cerberus' hands and deals with Liara's change from ME1 archaeologist to ME2 information broker.

I got & finished the Leviathan DLC yesterday. It's definitely worth the price, second best ME DLC after Shadow Broker. My only problem with it is that the ending was lackluster since we didn't really see the Leviathan in action.

Maybe if we're lucky, after all the DLC comes out, Bioware will update the ending again with ATLEAST some new cutscenes showing the war assets in action.

That would be fantastic. I hated Vega, terrible character. Garrus' time on Omega, leading up to the final stand off, would be superb.

The legendary Archangel :word:

This would be great to see.

Cerberus Vs Aria? Sounds awesome!

Vega did seem quite boring against many of the other squadmates who were outstanding. I'd love to see something on Thane.

It was. :word:

I have pretty high expectations for the Omega DLC, I'm expecting it to either knock out Leviathan from #2 if not give Shadowbroker a run for its money. Between Aria, the locale and getting to bring Garrus back to Omega I really cannot wait to dive head first into that one.

Omega DLC could be incredibly hype inducing. I wonder when it's going to come out, hopefully in January. Releasing it in November or December would be a mistake with all the awesome games coming out.
