Mass Effect 3 - Part 3

Yikes. Spoilers already? I am staying out of this thread.

I'll be honest, I feel like there's so much going on in the ME world that I still wouldn't understand what's going on even with spoilers. I really liked ME2, but I hate how I never played the first one and I didn't see the motion comic thing at the start since I rented the game.

yeah......I've remained fairly spoiler free for both Skyrim and ME3..........and I intend to remain so........lol.

With DA2, I was pretty active on the Bioware forums during that game's dev cycle. Naturally, I would read some spoilers, but that was by my own choice.

However, my curiosity got the best of me in the few days prior to DA2's release.....

here was a game I was extremely hyped for. but then some people got their copies a few days before release, played throught it, and posted the spoilers on the forum.

again, I made the choice to read the spoilers. but, I learned some things about the game ( mainly in re to the ending and the overall "lack" of choice ), and that kind of dampened my enthusiasm for the game. so, when I started playing the game myself, perhaps that kind of prevented me from enjoying it.......

after that, I don't frequent the Bioware forums as much.......lol

For Skyrim, I'm pretty much spoiler free. Watching the opening of ME3 didn't really spoil much for me. I knew most of the stuff was gonna happen.

I've heard about what happens in the opening from various gaming sites around E3, but I still won't watch it.

from the Collector's Edition video on Gamestop which also has shots of some of the pre-order gear and the N7 hoodie for Shepard among other things:

The video also has an ME3 soundtrack playing over it apparently and it sounds great.

I must say, though I enjoyed the games, the soundtracks never left much of an impression on me.

I have to agree. They were good, but I can't remember anything from them. The series needs a main theme that's iconic like Zelda's or Halo's.

Umm... Normandy Reborn, Samara, and Suicide Mission are all fantastic tracks, and the music from Lair of the Shadow Broker is amazing.
I'd say the main theme of the series is the Normandy Reborn.

The theme that plays when Shepard talks to Sovereign on Virmire is one that stuck with me.

Oddly enough, I loved the Mass Effect soundtracks and I hardly ever notice music in movies or games. That song that builds to a slow crescendo and then explodes when Shepard crawls out of Sovereign's wreckage at the end of ME 1 gave me chills.

The CE video makes me glad I decided to spring for the CE. Only thing that's a little weird is that in-game hoodie. The whole idea of a hoodie in the world of Mass Effect somehow strikes me as really, really weird, let alone seeing the central figure of said world wearing it like he's bumming around the house on a lazy Sunday. That said, I'm totally gonna have him wear it in my game, at least for a while. :D

Well, i'm not saying the music was terrible, or even bad, it just wasn't all that memorable. Nothing iconic.

To each his own, I guess. I downloaded several of Faunts' albums after I heard "M4 (Part II)" over ME 1's credits on a recent play-through, and then I went ahead and got the soundtrack itself.

M4 is one of my favorite albums now. All thanks to Mass Effect :awesome:

That design of Jack looks like she and Miranda did the fusion dance.

Personally, I think Mass Effect has had some of the most iconic and instantly recognizable music of any game this gen.

Honestly, I haven't really paid attention to the music of the Mass Effect games nor do I think of the ME music as iconic. The only one that caught my ears is the suicide mission music.

I'm a little sad to see Jack get hair, to be honest. Granted, she still looks very punk because it's a weird mohawk sort of thing. But I liked the bald look.

Call me a prude, but I'm glad she has some more clothing on around the sensative areas of her body.

Yeah, her ME 2 default look was a little ridiculous. I know she loves her wicked tats and all, but straps do not count as clothing.
