I finally decided to get the alternate appearance packs for my current set of play-throughs. So far I've only seen Miranda's. Hers makes her look kind of like a freaky sex robot. It's all shiny black lycra on her torso and bulky-ass armor on her limbs. Weird. I do like the little holographic sunglasses, though.

I like to bring her out in that on the more outright dangerous missions. Looks particularly great during the Suicide Mission.

It makes it harder to see her smexy booty when I send her to hold a position, which is a definite no-no.

Do the DLC costumes affect their stats in any way?

I don't believe so.

I kind of like that. Customization doesn't really work if you keep finding yourself in the same armors because they have the best stats.

Yeah, I agree. I wouldn't mind some passive armor stuff but I like just being able to pick what I visually find more appealing vs needing to be practical.

I do hope we get another modular set of N7 armor for ME 3. That was one of my favorite things about ME 2. You could customize it and get some decent stat bonuses off of it, but it remained Shepard's armor, complete with the "N7" insignia that you see on all the box art and promo stuff. I never liked how you essentially ditch the character's signature look almost immediately in ME 1 when you inevitably find better armor in like the first mission.

Yeah, in fact going along that point the whole black armor with a red stripe and N7 logo didn't really become iconic to me until ME2.

Yeah. Although, unfortunately, I'm missing the red stripe on my current character because she's a Vanguard and the Kestrel armor's shield boost is more useful to her.

Bonus character and mission? Looks like i'll be getting the collector's edition after all.

Having read some of the spoilers that leaked, I'm pretty sure I know who/what the "classified" bonus character is going to be.

Did you all check out the sneak peek to the cinematics? I'm thinking they will actually let us fly/fight in space. Looks awesome!

It's impossible to say. People who have read the spoilers are very divided on the specific thing that I believe the squad member is related to. Some love it, and others hate it. Vehemently. I won't say more than that though.

But really, I don't think it's that big of deal to spoil myself on a CE bonus DLC character, though.

Agreed, as it is only an extra character. Knowing Zaheed before hand doesn't really change/reveal anything extra about the story. But I don't know, maybe for some people it does.

And only $80?! That's awesome! I've got to go to Game Stop.
