F**k co-op, the galaxy should have been saved already. :down

seeing that the mass Effect series is this gens for consoles halo. (which had co-op and multiplayer). . I'm happy with the co-op and the fact their taking their time to polish the game. I'm happy with bio ware and the fact that their per4fectionists. any complaining cause their having an impatience issue needs to calm down. especially if you have animated pic of the hot chick from saints row the game commercial which had co-op as well which loved for that too .

I'm glad ME3 got pushed back to March.

for one, it gives me time to play through ME1 and ME2.......lol

and, besides, there were WAY too many AAA games out in the last part of this year.

Out of every game that came out this season ME3 was at the top of my list. I wasn't too miffed about the delay at first because yeah, I figured they'd polish things up and whatnot. Then the multiplayer rumours started and they confirmed the co-op. It's very clear to me that they decided to add it in last minute and that's why I gotta wait three more months. I have to wait. Because. Of a mode that is irrelevant to why I play Mass Effect. I don't hate co-op in general but as cool as I think it's gonna be to play as a Krogan I couldn't care less about it.

I'm sure the delay isn't effecting people in the way it has me, but I've played through the first game in its entirety at least once a year since its release and I've played through the second at least a dozen times as well. It's cool that you have extra time to get through them but I'm ready to see the conclusion I've been building towards for almost half a decade.

oh, don't get me wrong, I would have loved to play ME3 this XMAS, instead of having to wait till March. and, I have 0 interest in the multiplayer mode, too.

but, in the end, it's just a few more months to wait. and there are plenty of games to tide me over in the meantime.........

and after Dragon Age 2 ( which felt kind of rushed, imo ), I'd rather wait for Bioware to polish things up a bit.........

if it had been delayed till Summer or Fall 2012, THEN I would have been more angry, especially if it was mainly to incorporate the multiplayer mode.

The entire company is not working on the Galaxy at War thing, there's been pretty steady development on the game proper. I don't even think that was the cause of pushing the release date back, it looked like from the leaked footage that I saw that the MP is pretty much functional.

Regardless, the singleplayer portion of ME3 is going to be better for the delay, that's pretty much not in question.

If they were polishing just single player I am fairly sure it would have been out at the end of January, mid-February latest. I'm just annoyed.

So? The horde mode is functional but it's not even close to finished. They still have to test the beta, get feedback and work on anything that might need fixing before the game goes gold; And that's not even factoring in whatever the hell they're doing for the crazy "Galaxy at War" thing. All this waiting largely for a mode that I couldn't care less about. Hurray! I'm largely speculating the cause for delay because Casey Hudson repeatedly said there would be no multiplayer. Last minute delay. Co-op announced. Not too hard to connect those dots.

The game is not being held up solely by the MP mode. Now as somebody who peeks in on the Bioware forums, I know that the voice work just got done a week or two ago. They've only within the last month and a half or so put the game together (in that they can go from beginning to end) and are now going through the process of polishing it and checking for bugs.

If you follow the Bioware dev twitters its very clear that the game was not done back in Nov or even Dec - and again the entire company would not be diverted into putting together what is basically a Horde mode.

Eh. Many people, myself included, never believed it was going to come out in 2011. The delay wasn't surprising in the least. And they most certainly are still working on the single player. Casey Hudson said as much after that major leak.

I never thought it was a 2011 release and Im glad it got delayed. I purchased so many games this fall and I dont have time to touch most of them

I didn't know they were that behind lmao, my bad.

I never thought it would come out in 2011 either. It was stupid for Bioware to even say that it was coming out this year.

Posted this in my fan art thread, but figured I'd let you guys see, too :) Here's a fan art image of Miranda I just finished. She had a weird face in the game, so i didn't worry about being accurate with it.

That's a pretty good drawing, it'd be pretty cool to see battle damage like that in the games.

Second screenshot kind of looks like Halo multiplayer.

Interesting if that's a current MP screenshot since the guy on the left has a N7-armor style stripe.

I really hope the PS3 version is equal to the 360 version, and that one console won't get shafted in favor of the "lead" console........

^well, given the history of multi-plat games tending to look AND perform better on the 360. and that some devs tend to favor developing on one platform over the other.

Yeah, I wouldn't call that the PS3 version of games getting "shafted."

That indicates the developers are somehow code-mining their games to self-destruct when played on the PS3 hardware.

BioWare looking for 'logical extensions' to its brands for mobile development

"We did that iOS Mass Effect Galaxy thing really early. We said, 'We should just try this and see what happens.' And we learned something from it," BioWare group creative lead Greg Zeschuk told me in a recent interview, when asked about the company's unknown mobile plans. It seems that Zeschuk, and in turn, BioWare, is more interested in using mobile and other burgeoning platforms as testing grounds rather than a focus.

"What we do a lot is we'll actually explore a platform and kinda play around with it," Zeschuk added. While he said that mobile, comprising both Android and iOS, is "definitely something we're looking at," he also noted that just one person of BioWare's hundreds of employees has been assigned to focus primarily on mobile development. That person is said to be in charge of identifying "logical extensions to what we do," but Zeschuk is quick to point out his company "haven't announced too much" in that space.

He also pointed out that another branch of BioWare's parent company, EA Interactive/Mobile, could be of particular use in the case of BioWare properties on mobile devices. "That's one of the biggest benefits of being at EA. We have EA Interactive, who does tons and tons of mobile stuff," Zeschuk said. "We're always looking around. We're always sort of sharing ideas and figuring out what we're gonna do."

Presumably we'll hear more whenever BioWare figures out what exactly that is, or at least whenever the company decides to announce as much. For now, we'll be wantonly hoping for a PopCap crossover, post-acquisition. We can dream, right?

enjoy and discussions in session
