hahah I hope the people at PAX are civil.

Anyway, I know the theory has been talked about to death but here's the definitive video on it. I'd like to see anyone who says the theory is full of s**t to shoot holes in anything presented in this.

If I cared enough I would, but as it I cannot muster the energy to even hit the play button.

HOWEVER

Please accept this as a consolation prize.

I respectfully decline. I would have accepted this though:

I know we've already gone back and forth on this, but there was a segment of this video that I don't think I've commented on yet - the theory that the ending is all happening in Shepard's mind.

All the other issues I have with the indoctrination theory aside... can we really even begin to believe this? That the climax is tall taking place in Shepard's mind? That we don't even get to see the "real" ending to the game, no matter what path we choose?

Bioware wouldn't get that existential, nor would they leave out any kind of actual final battle, in a conclusion of this magnitude.

Further, we have the leaked script from November that has the exact same style of ending... but in that version, Shepard gets by the beam, get into the Citadel in full gear, fights off a totally indoctrinated Illusive Man monster... and is presented with the same three choices is in the final cut. Those were always the ending.

I don't blame fans for wanting it to be some big plan. I don't discredit the very creative ideas. But I do think it's just diehards hoping upon hope that there was some sort of legitimate meaning to this ending and that it wasn't just the crap we got.

if these have been posted already my apologies.

Hmm, definitely seems like retaking Omega will be DLC. I hope that there is a morality choice that allows you to kill Aria (or at least keep her exiled). Helping her retake Omega feels like helping Jabba the Hutt retake Tattoinne.

Finally beat the game. People need to get over the vague ending. While I feel like they could have had a bit more of an epilogue. I'm assuming that the squadmates you take with you at the end are dead? :csad:

Depends on what you had for Effective Military Strength from war assets.

I'm playing what I'm assuming is the final mission, and I'm at the part where you have to defend your last two missiles against a ****ton of banshees, among other enemies, and also a reaper is firing it's laser at you which can kill you in one shot through cover. I just want to say this is the least fun I've had playing any game in a long time. :o

Impossible to say. After all

[blackout]Ashley was with me in London and stepped out of the Normandy. That is a huge problem that people have with the ending. Squadmates who were on Earth are also on the Normandy[/blackout]

so anyone know what song it is during
the last fight you have with the multiple brutes and banshees, when you are trying to launch the missiles at the reaper

“@DamonLindelof: No folks, I did NOT consult on the ending for MASS EFFECT 3. *#Sheesh”

Lol

Over 4000, I mean I could play more multiplayer to get it higher, I guess.
At that level, I do believe you should have seen the squadmates who had been with you step out of the Normandy with Joker.

Nope they magically appear
on the Normandy

Liara and Ashley walked out, No EDI because I picked destroy (shoulda done control...), and my Squadmates were Tali and Vega.

Ya know what part of the tech in ME I never understood?

The onmi-tools little mini-facturing thing. How the hell does that work?

Hmm. Did Shepard die or live? And was either Liara or Ashley your character's love interest?

I love how I'm suddenly wearing different armor after [BLACKOUT]I got blasted with that laser.[/BLACKOUT]

Shepard lived, and Liara was my love interest. I guess my ending makes more sense than others endings? And I'm guessing from all the relays being destroyed, it takes a LOT longer than before to get somewhere.

Okay. Most reports do involve the love interest stepping off the Normandy. Most reports also involve a squadmate (or both, in the case one is the love interest) who was in your party also stepping off the Normandy.

For me, I had both Liara and Garrus through the London fighting, and both stepped off the Normandy with Joker.

*ahem*

In coming fanboy clarification on the Reaper's weapons.:oldrazz:

From the Mass Effect Codex.

Contrary to popular belief, Sovereign's main gun was not a directed energy weapon. Rather, its massive element zero core powered an electromagnetic field suspending a liquid iron-uranium-tungsten alloy that shaped into armor-piercing projectiles when fired. The jet of molten metal, accelerated to a fraction of the speed of light, destroys targets by impact force and irresistible heat.
