just finished the game and I can honestly say.............I will be paying Bioware a visit that they're not gonna like
It'd be easier to just sign that dumb petition thats going around. Or, if you wanted to go the extremely idiotic route, you can follow the moron who filed an FTC complaint.

Not me, but I did run into a Cerberus turret in Benning that was indestructible. It had zero energy left and just sat there, not shooting or moving at all. All the while my squad mates kept darting between cover wasting their bullets on it. I had to restart the mission, because it would not let me continue until it was destroyed. Luckily it was close to the beginning, but still.I read that theres a bug that makes it impossible to complete the Hanar diplomat Citadel mission bc it wont allow you to access the terminal needed. Anyone run into this? I unfortunately have
I'm not necessarily trying to defend Bioware (it's no secret that I'm not happy with the ending and how it played out, after all), I'm just noting that the indoctrination theories are a lot of guesswork, and IMO are an attempt by the fans to make sense of what's ultimately just a poorly written hackjob of an ending. Sometimes things just... stink. I think this ending was one of them.
And I was under the impression that the screen was blacking out during the Illusive Man's speech because HE was trying to indoctrinate Shepard. They'd established that Cerberus had mastered a form of indoctrination. He was trying to have Shep and Anderson fall under HIS control.
The slow-mo could be explained the same way, or as just being done for a "cool" endgame effect. The IM was obviously all Reaper-teched out, so I think anything he did would be sustainable. Hell, in the original ending he was going to turn into a giant monster that you had to fight (you'd presumably have been fully armored and equipped rather than all shot up). It says so right in the bonus art guide that comes with the CE.
Just because he supposedly couldn't control the Reapers didn't mean he couldn't control two organics.
As for Shepard surviving... that remains to be seen. It's no secret that him being alive after the "Red" ending seems to be fact. We've seen Bioware people tweet about it.
And from what I've read, some of the folks that choose to "Destroy" and are using the Mass Effect datapad app received ONE message after the ending - and it was from a squadmate that mentions coming to visit Shepard.
I don't know if that's legit or not, since I didn't use the datapad app.
If anything, I'm playing Devil's advocate. And probably being even harsher to Bioware than y'all, haha, since I think they just totally dropped the ball and created a totally crap ending.
. That was my choice. It's a fact that Bioware considered the indoctrinated ending. Whether or not it was meant to be the "final" ending is yet to be seen, but they definitely considered it at one point.
So, that being said, it's hardly fan speculation or fans reaching for answers at this point regarding the indoctrination ending. The pieces are there intentinoally. Maybe they assumed we'd be too dumb to notice them once they backed out of their indoctrination idea, but they are clearly in the game for a reason; people aren't just making crap up or grasping at straws. Even if Bioware decides to keep the theory scrapped and goes in a different direction, it doesn't change the fact that those little tidbits are still in the main game.
Also, in regards to the "people missing out" stuff:I'd like to make the comparison to Dragon Age: Awakenings.
I played through DA1 3 times, and I never got Awakenings. Other than my evil character, my main guy died both times. I don't even feel remotely cheated about not playing Awakenings because I'm fine with my character's end with DA. That was my choice.
I don't see why that couldn't be the case here, too. If you're fine with the ending, just don't download the expansion.
It's a fact that Bioware considered the indoctrinated ending.
Where was this said? [BLACKOUT] All we know is they considered a sequence where you couldn't control Shepard because he was under indoctrination effects and that they scrapped it but I don't believe it was ever said that there was going to be an indoctrination ending. [/BLACKOUT]
Man after using the Javlin sniper rifle for several missions, I'm getting an itch for some armor designed to have a Geth feel to it. Just like the Collector armor.
Make it so Bioware.
Being that...
There are 5000 word indoctrination theories out there, yes, fans are reaching.
I ran into a glitch towards the end where were facing a bunch of Cannibals, I Garrus and Edi as my squad mates, both of them were stuck in standing poses, but you could see bullets firing from their weapons, even though they weren't drawn.
Did you actually read them? Most of the theories aren't speculating ambiguously, they're connecting what we know with what we were shown. And here's the biggest red flag:
Why do Shepard's eyes turn blue during the control and synthesis endings?
Some glitches I had,
In multiplayer:
An invisible turret. Tossed a few grenades at where the gunfire was coming from and it blew up hahah.
A nemesis spawned in a pillar. A sentinel on our team had to use tech armour to kill it.
In single player:
I couldn't access the second terminal in Kasumi's quest.
Shepard's head turned awkwardly to the left in the middle of a conversation... and stayed there.
The back of Shepard's neck would clip through his leather coat collar.
Random bits of dialogue fading out.
An awkward 20 second pause in the middle of a conversation.
Went to talk to some dude at C-Sec, the NPC disappeared but the conversation continued.
Geth are supposed to be coming as MP DLC characters, if the rumors are true.

...give me a break. You might think it's stupid, but that doesn't invalidate the theories whatsoever.
Yes, I read them.
And it's speculation. Yes, there are some things we know. But being that they never made the game, connecting what we got with what we didn't get is speculation.
And the way I saw it, Shep's eyes went blue because in both of those endings you're engulfed by a big blue light.
Bioware wouldn't write in a "wrong" choice ending. They're all about players making their own choices and sticking with them - Bioware's not judgmental with their choices. There's no right or wrong, just different ways to do things.
The theories are 100% speculation. I'm not calling them invalid, I'm just treating them as they are - fan theories to make sense of out of what was a craptastic ending.
Bioware may have originally considered having an indoctrination scene, but that's another thing entirely.
Until one of the game designers personally accounts for it I'd have a hard time believing that they had an entire ending in store that was "You got indoctrinated and fell for it!"
Im in the middle of doing Priority Citadel 2. About how much of the game do I have left?
