Rumors about not being sure if they want older or younger Batman are concerning... It's irrelevant to the script?

Could be irrevelant to the script. Or could be that Reeves wants to portray Batman starting quite young or just being younger in general. WB could be wanting someone only a little bit older.

Reeves and WB might compromise. They might not go as young as Reeves wants but then not go so old either. Someone in their late 20s instead. It would really depend on who the final contenders are really. If they find the right guy then I don't think it would matter whether he was mid or late 20s or 30 etc. I mean, Christian Bale played different ages in "Batman Begins", playing younger when needed in flashbacks.

I'm really happy about the Batman news. I love Affleck as Batman but I wasn't 100% fan of Snyder portrayal. I'm really happy Reeves gets to start fresh, with no de-aging mess. I'm also really happy the "Will Ben be back?" drama is over.

So...

Younger Batman
A rogues gallery of villains
A more detective based story

I wonder if Reeves' movie is going to be inspired by The Long Halloween? A mystery villain reeking havoc, making waves in the Gotham underworld and stirring **** up, and Batman having to figure it all out while dealing with all the chaos.

Nope. Not if he was behind Snyder’s ‘vision’ for the character... which he must have been.

My eyes rolled so hard I now see the inside of my head. Can someone call a doctor?

It really makes me think that we will be thrown right in the middle of Batman's career. He can be slightly older or slightly younger.

That could be a good sign that they won't be focusing on the origin too much. It could still be early on in his career, he is still young, but they can just get on with the plot.

Here is what Variety is saying:

This is what I’m hoping. If it’s not relevant to the story that likely means Batman has already been doing his thing for a period of time. I really do not want to spend an hour of the movie going over how he becomes Batman.

I genuinely think the trauma of the Wayne murders and his childhood memory of them, is so fruitful and unexplored still. There's much more layers to it than "my parents are deeaaaaadd!!!"

Gotham tv show has 5 years and season doing that

Cool. Why don’t you roll ‘em right over to the JL forum, where people agree with you?

Why would I want to roll 'em over somewhere on your command, just because people will agree with me? Feeling pretty entitled, huh? Are you some kind of authority?
My condition just got worse. COULD you please call a doctor? I'm looking at my lungs right now.

For good or bad, Clooney and Affleck will always be the meh/bad Batmans

Neither of them will be remember as Adam West, Keaton and Bale, even Kilmer with a messy script and direction have a spot in my bitter heart, Affleck's hardcore fan base are kiddps whom only know Batfleck and the Snydercult, so i really dont care lmao

I really liked Ben Affleck as Batman in BVS and I'm a huge Batman fan since I was a young child, in the early 1990s, so that's not accurate.

welp, there's always a black sheep :o:ndd:

Sounds like we could start hearing names soon. First that interview then few hours later WB announce no Affleck and release date. Clearly it was all planned.

:D

I don't understand why people need to lump everything into a category, as if someone who liked BVS couldn't possibly love the previous incarnations and is just a "Snyder die-hard" (I'm not).

I actually like the film, i just dont like Batfleck :ninja:

Think Affleck was announced nine months before they started filming and if TB follows Wonder Woman's schedule then they'd start in November. 4-6 weeks and we could know the new guy imo.

Just look this, it looks like a drunk fat guy cosplaying Batman, asvasvlavs

I thought he was great in it (not so much in the reshot JL scenes), but fair enough.

Ill always remember Affleck like a fat grandpa cosplaying Bats, cant help it, im sorry for the stans that had orgasm with him as Bats

Nerds complained. They tried to lighten him up. Did not work.
