Marvel Films MCU Phase IV!

And my dates were off based on when things are expected to film.

It looks like Eternals is next year. So Black Widow and Eternals in 2020.

Black Panther is expected to come first in 2021. Looks like Doctor Strange, Shang Chi and Spider-Man 3 in that year with Strange being the second film based on when it's expected to shoot.

2022 will likely have Captain Marvel 2 and I'm not sure what else. They have two more dates reserved but there's no word on what those films will be.

2023 will have Guardians of the Galaxy 3 which is confirmed. Spider-Man 4 may happen but that's entirely dependent on Marvel and Sony extending their deal.

Feige said a five-year plan so Avengers 5 is likely but I have no idea what else is happening this year.

With the Falcon and Winter Soldier series, I'm really hoping that we can finally see the name of the project which created both Captain America and Hulk if the rumors about Grand Director being the villain are true. Namely, I want to see the name Weapon X pop up and have there be an Easter egg regarding the names in between William Burnside and Bruce Banner. Something that says that Wolverine is part of this universe.

And with Shang Chi, since Denis Nyland Smith is part of the Fu Manchu rights, I seriously hope that we see Ming Na Wen and Chloe Bennet as Agent May and Quake since they both can speak Chinese and AOS will end by the time Shang Chi starts shooting. Also hoping that we see Taskmaster help out the Si Fan triad since Shang Chi vs Taskmaster would be EPIC!

If we get a Thor 4, I want to see a reborn Loki, Elena Satine as Lorelai and the introduction of Amora, Baldur and Karnilla. It'll be a movie about elections. And a Sif who thinks that Thor dumped her and isn't being controlled by Lorelai would start dating Valkyrie. When Amora cures Thor, he manages to get back together with Sif which makes Valkyrie jealous. The soundtrack would have an original song by Amon Amarth. #VoteLoki

Doesn't matter. Iron Man lived long enough since Iron Man 3 and they didn't make an Iron Man 4. They have an obvious pattern for their solo flicks and I doubt that would suddenly change, just because 1 actor wants another Thor film, especially they have a lot of other properties that are also getting films. Don't you think Rdj didn't want an Iron Man 4 movie?

That had everything to do with RDJ's paycheck.

And we are also not getting a Captain America 4. Its not a coincidence that Iron Man and Captain America only had three films that featured their name in the title. Thor 4 is not happening. I believe when I see it.

Cap 4 is technically happening. It's just on Disney+

Its pretty clear when I referred to Captain America, its Steve Rogers. And what a downgrade if Cap 4 gets demoted to Disney +.

There's zero talks of a Thor 4 and I'm using Marvel Stud10s'track record and upcoming slate as reasons why there won't be 1! You'd be waiting for Thor 4ever.

And since the last Captain America and Iron Man films both grossed $1 billion each, I can't see Steve and Tony being gone forever after Endgame. Evans and Downey may not return but they'll be back in around a decade.

yeah, I dont see Thor 4 happening.

when you have

Black Panther
Captain Marvel
Black Widow
The Eternals
Shang Chi
Doctor Strange
Spiderman
Guardians of the galaxy
and the recent return of Fantastic Four and X-Men

there is just no place for Thor 4. Those are 10 franchises right there, and not even counting even more new characters that Feige may want to put on the spotlight with their own movies too, so.... do we really need a fourth Thor movie with such a big marvel universe with plenty of new characters to be explored/introduced? Dont think so.

I also don't think Thor 4 will happen. I think Thor will maybe make in appearance in something else at some point (assuming he survives), but I don't think a 4th solo will happen.

I think the big 3 will all make a comeback if they ever decide to adapt Secret Wars at some point down the road. Since that is the crossover to end all crossovers.

There's probably 1 more Ant-Man film and more Avengers films.

yeah, forgot about them.
So at least 12 franchises for the next 15 years.

Would be funtastic if they could do a Silver Surfer solo film. We haven't had an alien headlined a Marvel film if I'm not forgetting anything. I want to see a solo film for She Hulk, Spider-Woman and Namor but those wouldn't happen due to the film rights being tied to Universal/Sony.

Nova, Moon Knight, Swordsman and Black Knight would be interesting as well.

STORM solo movie.
thats a 1 billion movie right there, and finally a Xwoman leading her own movie and shinning in the biggest way possible.

of course, with some x-men cameos here and there, to give it that extra push for the marketing. Charles, Cyclops and Kitty can easily appear at some point in the movie (either in the beggining and end, or in the middle of the movie). Maybe with Charles dealing with Shadow king, but this time with the help of another x-man (Scott) and a teen x-woman (Kitty) trying to save Ororo in the final battle. I would pay to see that on the big screen.

but if Feige wants to play even bigger, he could show Charles, with Cyclops leading a mini team of Cyclops, Kittty and Nightcrawler trying to save Ororo from the manipulation of Shadow King in Africa, with Ororo causing the biggest chaos Africa has ever seen. So we basically would get Marvel Studios first catastrophe movie, with huge and outstanding visuals.

again, I would PAY to see this. probably even two times in the theatre.

Thor is the most likely to get a 4th movie I think we can all agree on that.

That seems about as likely as when people thought Kingpin was gonna show up in Homecoming.

Vincent D'Nofrio still had a contract with Netflix at the time.

No one gives a crap about AoS. There, it's out in the open.

People loved Gregg as Coulson but the rest of that cast? No one watched the show in enough numbers for it to make including them a necessity. The Netflix shows had a much deeper penetration into the culture but things look grim right now as to even the cream of the crop of those shows making a jump to the big leagues.

If freaking Cox's Daredevil isn't showing up in the MCU anytime soon you can be assured "Quake" and the sub par actress that plays her convoluted character from ABC nor the rest of the AoS cast will either.

Yeah, I didn’t even know that show was still on the air. 95% of the audience seeing the Marvel movies, don’t watch the shows.

If any of the AoS cast ever makes it to a film it won't be as anything essential to a film's story. It will be a blink and you'll miss it type thing. And it certainly won't be because Ming Na is Chinese and "Daisy" speaks Chinese or some such and because the character of Shang Chi is Chinese, well...

No.

Do people really need to have watched the MCU shows for May and Bennett to appear in Shang-Chi? No. Could one of them be Shang-Chi's SHIELD handler in Hong Kong? Yes.

And for the record, Asian and Hispanic women are almost always hit with, "can't act." It's something which is pretty much a stereotype at this point.

You could say that for every single MCU movie at this point. If it hasn't happened, it's really unlikely to happen in Shang-Chi.
