Marvel Films MCU Phase IV!

I doubt it, Hollywood and the movie industry is much bigger than the MCU.

I honestly can tell if your trolling or not. Did you miss the Blade announcement? 2 time academy award winner Mahershala Ali wanted to play Blade. Marvel wern't even developing anything for Blade but when Mahershala calls you answer. (Feige's words not mine) The fact that someone like Mahershala wanted to work with Marvel says a lot. And Black Panther being such a success probably has a lot to do with it.

So, most likely these will be the first three films of Phase 5 then:

Feb. 18, 2022 - BLACK PANTHER 2
May 6, 2022 - GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3
July 29, 2022 - BLADE

I think Fantastic Four and Antman 3 could be combined into one film. It could be an Annihilus event film.

So, most likely these will be the first three films of Phase 5 then:

Feb. 18, 2022 - BLACK PANTHER 2
May 6, 2022 - GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3
July 29, 2022 - BLADE

Nah, I still reckon the more family friendly Fantastic Four will get that July slot and Blade will be Nov 2023...
Feb. 18, 2022 - BLACK PANTHER 2
May 6, 2022 - GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3
July 29, 2022 - FANTASTIC FOUR

Feb 2023 - CAPTAIN MARVEL 2
May 2023 - ?
Nov 2023 - BLADE

The X-Men will be 60 in 2023, Maybe UNCANNY X-MEN could be the May 2023 film?

So when do we get to the point where popular original female superheroes get robbed of their powers/namesake in order to pass them to a benign male character?

I don't think they're going to make Happy Hogan the new Black Widow

And then CM2, Spidey 3 and F4. Pretty stacked phase.

If following this...

2020 - Black Widow, Eternals
2021 - Shang-Chi, Doctor Strange 2, Spider-Man 3, Thor 4

...we got this...

2022 - Black Panther 2, Guardians Of The Galaxy 3, Fantastic Four
2023 - Captain Marvel 2, X-Men, Blade

...then i'd expect Fantastic Four and X-Men to get sequels in the net couple of Phases, maybe the same for Blade if he's a hit (and he will be)... and Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange and Ant-Man to complete their trilogies... so that would account for another 7-10 films in the next five years...

Throw in a team-up film or two and that leaves room for a new property every year, So what would those other new properties be?

ant man needs a massive guest star like hulk in ragnarok. ant man needs a boost and i would go with another comedic director instead of reed.

I'm like 90% sure Spider-Man 3 will be released in 2021 lol. But I do wonder will they switch movies around on their slate because of that or try going for 4 movies that year.

Because the fastest person alive isn't that special when a half dozen other people are the fastest person alive.

Let's start by getting rid of that speedster usurper Barry Allen.

So when do we get to the point where popular original female superheroes get robbed of their powers/namesake in order to pass them to a benign male character?

These are dark times indeed for us Makkari fans.

Even better if it is and we get an extra film in 2022.

Ah yes...the "trilogy" of Doctor Strange and Ant Man! It's almost as awesome as the Thor trilogy that just ended!

I hope they wait a bit longer on Fantastic Four...but I think it's coming fairly soon. And I REALLY hope they wait on the X-Men...go through this phase of establishing the heroes they have as icons...and introducing the new ones and exploring the cosmic side...and THEN go to the mutants.

When studios start making more successful female led franchises.

Because a guy wearing a bat on his chest doesn't seem as special when 15 other people are wearing a bat on their chest.

We want our heroes to be unique and to have their own identities.
I get what you mean, but was Stark diminished because of War Machine? They had very similar power sets obviously. And then you even had Pepper in the Rescue suit. Many people enjoyed Spider-Verse where you essentially have a tonne of characters who are the same. I think it's about how it's handled more than anything.

The fact is...they dont do this for a natural reason. They want a female or a younger version or a minority character...but are far too lazy or out of ideas to create a new character that people will like. So, they slap a familiar name and logo on the character, hoping to get enough people to buy it based on those superficial reasons. I wouldn't mind it occasionally if it didnt feel like such a cheap gimmick.

I wouldn't mind as long as they also create original characters like Ms Marvel, but if they do that, then I don't personally have an issue with legacy characters. If they use legacy characters only as a vehicle for what you suggest, then I agree that it is not a good practise.

Let's be real, it's never going to happen. They haven't done it in the comics and odds are they're not going that route in the MCU either. You'd think with the whole "woke" movement females would want to see their own original characters - not hand me downs.

Flying monkeys and butts???

The whole concept is a really unoriginal way of trying to be original.

Just occurred to me that they gender-swapped that one too.

They gender and/or race swapped most of the announced cast of Eternals. Long time comic heads like myself are familiar with the Eternals, but they are super obscure to your average comic reader, and totally unknown to the general audience. But now of course there will be these sudden hardcore "fans" that will come out to complain about the changes...

So, just because Mahershala Ali did it, doesn’t mean every black actor is doing the same thing.:nuhu:
