Marvel Films MCU Phase IV!

I think we'll get confirmation at D23, but I'm reasonably confident that FF, Thunderbolts, and Deadpool 3 are three of the films we will get in 2024 at the moment.

The fourth being a toss-up between Captain America 4, Shang-Chi 2, and Nova.

Captain America: Sam Wilson was announced before Shang-Chi: 2 Rings. So I eXpect that to be out first.

I hope they also announce the start of phas5.

Nova is rumored to be Disney plus exclusive
But I agree on the other
Deadpool February 2024
Fanstatic 4 May 2024
Captain America July 2024 (maybe 4th of July?)
Thunderbolts October 2024

It won't be Nova. That is gonna be a series on D+

Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, Hawkeye and all the previous D+ Marvel Xeries would have been better off as films but it is what it is. Disney+ needs their original Marvel Studios content.

Plenty of them would have been. Not all of them by any means.

Can't agree on Ms. Marvel yet. The show has 1 episode to its credit so far.

And there's no way in hell WandaVision would have been better as a two hour movie. And trying to say What If? could've even been turned into a movie at all makes absolutely no sense, anyway.

Your opinion.

WandaVision was half filler and all those decades of comedy shows could have been condensed to a 20 to 40 minute act. It would just comes down to right eXecution and editing what should stay or not. Who knows that final act (season finale) would have been better if it was a film production, as the Xeries finale was the most disappointing episode of the Xeries.

As for What If? Sure how are you going to turn 9 different episodes into a 2hour film, you don't. But you could tell 1 to 3 What If? stories in a span of more or less 150 minutes and they won't be undercooked as they were in the Xeries.

Anthology movies have almost never been successful, and the most of the stories were done just fine. I'd've been fine with stretching a few of them out over double episodes, but there's absolutely no reason you need to cut 90% of the season out entirely.

Marvel Studios have always done well at the boX office. And so what if it flops, I wasn't talking about boX office.

They still want people to like their stuff. Anthology series are generally fairly easily accepted. Anthology movies usually aren't. It's just not what most people want a movie to be. Or what most people want an anthology to be.

If Marvel Studios made an anthology movie, it would be a hit Xpecially if done in live action as they would have bought back the mcu actors like Rdj, Chris Evans and company. Marvel Zombies, that final episode with Uatu and Evil Strange - those could have been more fleshed out or eXecuted better if it was a feature film.

I don't see how a movie like that would flop, given the premise and the studio behind it.

Apparently the Spider-Man movies are starting to be put on D+ in various countries (including the Raimi and Webb films, Spiderverse and Venom), as is The Incredible Hulk. Seems they're really working to have all the Marvel characters on their platform.

Wonder Man is getting a D+ series.

This isn't as random as the solo Xeries for Echo and Agatha, as I know Wonder Man is as Avenger as Wanda and Vision in the comics. But I want to know how these future shows and movies all fit in into the overall narrative of the mcu. There are just too many ips getting projects at the moment.

everyone except the X-Men at this point. Marvel..... WTH you doing, hon?

I have to agree.

But since Feige was having meetings to plan the next 10 years, hopefully this will all make sense.

The leads of the upcoming live action shows:
She-Hulk
Echo
Ironheart
Nick Fury
Agatha Harkness
Nova
Daredevil
Wonder Man

There's still that Wakanda series, maybe it would be for Okoye.

The other Avengers from the comics that have yet to get a Xeries or movie:
Namor
Mockingbird
Tigra
Swordsman
Black Knight
Sersi
Hercules
Two-Gun Kid
Hellcat

StarfoX

Marvel Studios still have a lot of options even when not considering the X-Men.

Oooh I'm so excited for what comes next. The next several years are going to be insane. Let's just hope it works out in the most creative fashion. I am liking what I have seen so far.
