Endgame MCU Post Endgame Speculation *spoilers*

Na, I'd rather see Shuri or someone else entirely suit up
Don't particularly want to see a 13-year old actress doing a Robert Downey impression all movie
Better to have a fresh personality to take the character in new directions

Anyone else really want to see Morgan Stark as a jive talking, chip off the old block Iron Heart and/or Iron Maiden (what have you) in 10 years or so?
Absolutely! It would be great if the same child actress happened to grow into someone who could pull that off. :D

That can happen soon (Phase 5) and doesn’t have to be related. And maybe 20 years + would be a better age to see Morgan Stark.

I think the Skrull secret invasion begins due to the snap: either they target the 50% who have been revived, as any weird behaviour could be put down to PTSD / a side-effect of being dusted; or they began during the 5 year gap when the world was in chaos and politicians etc disappeared. I think the former is more likely.

I also think Black Panther 2 will deal with the ramifications of him being gone for 5 years: again, we got a line early on about world governments falling into chaos and Wakanda should be no different.

Spider-Man: FFH will deal with both the new age gap (seeing some classmates already working / in college) and in him looking for a new father figure to replace Stark, and from the trailer it seems like it will be a choice between Mysterio or Hogan. I would guess, if it's true that the Chameleon is part of Mysterio's gang, that we get an Edward Scissorhands type plot where the aim is to steal something and frame Spider-Man for it, leading into the public / Bugle hating him. I would guess that Hogan will die as a result, ending Favrau's involvement as an actor in the series and giving Spidey yet another father figure death (or he saves him, to subvert that).

GOTG 3 I think will deal with bringing Gamora back. The past Gamora isn't "our" Gamora; our Gamora is still dead and in the soul stone. But I think the conceit will be that, they are two bodies from two different timelines, but in each timeline / reality they only have one soul. So past Gamora will somehow merge with main timeline Gamora, as the two souls can't exist simultaneously in the same timeline.

Finally, with alternate timelines now in play, and The Eternals on the release slate, I think it's a foregone conclusion that Kronos will play a big part in that, or at least be an end credits scene setup in that film

Riri Williams would be a welcomed sight for the MCU.

When you think about it Doctor Strange really was a dick. Even though it was a heroic sacrifice, he just led Stark to his death and didn’t think twice about it.

I wonder if Spidey is gonna call him out on it.

'If i told you it wouldn't happen'.

'I'm sorry tony, it's the only way'.

Um, he'd already looked at millions of possibilities. The ONLY way they were going to ultimately stop Thanos was for Stark to do his own snap. It's not dickish, it's realistic. What should he have done? Told Stark and let him try one of the other possibilities that Strange already knew wouldn't work?

That's a good point. But it doesn't mean much in regards to their screentimes and overall meaning in the films. SW and Vision are basically sidekicks. They did get their love romance which seemed to be set-up well in Civil War and believable by Infinity War.

I doubt they get a larger role in future films.
Scarlet and Vision aren't a sidekick to anyone and have mostly acted as an Avengers character similar to the comics. That can't be said to War Machine, Bucky and Falcon. Plus in termsof abilities, WandaVision are more interesting as visual pieces. The other three, not really.

Well, had Strange done nothing, Stark would have died on Titan. He gave him 5 years

I’m 99% sure they won’t, but I hope they address at least some of the issues bringing back everyone who was snapped would inevitably cause.

the 5 years later opens up a host of storylines - including possibly villians like DOOM being created. they could easily go the zemo/family route and have doom be part of the snap only to return and see his wife/loved ones kill themselves from the grief. or possibly return to see latveria in chaos and his people decimated. he should be introduced as a world leader in BP2.

and i love the idea of introducing namor as a villian first. there's alot of ways marvel can go here. it will really be tough to top the past 10 years but i trust them as a movie studio. i almost want SM:FFH to be done already so feige can give us the full slate.

as for widow - they could go the david lynch route and have her life flash before her eyes as she's falling down in vormir before her death.

and i don't think gunn wrote in thor for GOTG3 - i think he may cameo but he's just leaving with them. but if he stays - that's going to be another $1B franchise.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gunn did write Thor into guardians 3 He was privy to what the Russo's were doing in IW/EG the whole time. So he most likely knew where it was going. UNLESS That scene was added late after...you know

In regards to the films and screentime; that's only what I'm disputing.

What are the chances the Tony that died in Endgame was secretly a Skrull? Would that ruin the death, strengthen that scene? I mean, wouldn't it be in the Skrulls best interest that they fend off Thanos' army as well?

Zero percent. First, because of Morgan. Second Skrulls didn’t exist in the MCU setting until after the script had been finalized (since the Captain Marvel script wasn’t finished until after Endgame filming had started). Third, it would be a huge betrayal of Tony’s character arc.

Gunn wasn't just informed about what was going on with IW/EG. He actively took part in the writing with Markus and McFeely where GoTG were involved. I wouldn't be surprised if Thor joining them at the end of Endgame was his suggestion.

Now you're thinking like a comic book writer!

I kinda wonder why we got War Machine and Nebula and why Ant-Man went along with Cap, Stark and the Hulk. Just curious if you guys have any particular theories. I mean they could have easily sent WM to New York so that he'd have no worries of interacting with his former self. I get that they had to have Nat and Clint in a scene together. I just kinda wish we got more of Rhodey and Stark. Or maybe Rhodey and Ant-Man. Seemed almost a waste for Rhodey to essentially punch Quill when anyone could have done that.

They weren't woŕried about cap.

What would be the point of that, dude? Honestly.
