...and that's about it. They could also be very much involved in the Kree-Skrull War storyline, and the connect with the Inhumans for a War of Kings type thing. Could be awesome.

Ultron too, maybe, if they adapt the Conquest storyline for the sequel. I don't think that's too far-fetched

see we fell off with this thread a bit.. unless there is another one.. how do you guys feel the netflix shows will affect the whole universe? and thanos showing up in Age of ultron and guardians of the galaxy.. im hyped..

I think when Marvel starts doing One Shots again, they should maybe look into building up Thanos by adapting Thanos Quest into a Mini-series of One Shots. Show Thanos collect the stones we don't see him get formally in the movie, and then maybe start Avengers 3 with Thanos busting into Asgard and stealing the last stone he needs: The Tesseract...and he takes Loki hostage.

Hello! I'm new to the site; I think this is the best thread to post this, if it isn't, I'm sorry, feel free to move it.
I'd like to query you about the possibility of having Nick Fury, Sr appear on the upcoming Agent Carter show. I know it's a bit far-fetched, but still, what do you think are the odds of that happening and how would they introduce him (he has a howling commando, wasn't he)? Thank you.

That would be an excellent idea.

Avi will want credit for this crossover if it happens

I think the crossover will most likely happen but only after a reboot of every popular film such as, x-men and spiderman. Hugh Jackman is beginning to enter old age so I doubt he'll be playing Wolverine for long so eventually they're gonna have to reboot the X-men franchise. but Marvel Studios are still somewhat in the beginning so I dont really see a crossover between them and any other studios happening anytime soon but Sony and Fox maybe. I mean they did have a extra wearing a Venom hat logo in The Wolverine and TASM2 did show previews for Days Of Future Past at the end of their film instead of having a post-credits scene

No they don't. They'll just recast the role once Jackman leaves and keep going. Just like Marvel, by their own admission, will simply recast their actors when they leave.

They recasted one person, Edward Norton, and he only had one film so that was easy, you cant just recast Hugh Jackman after 10+years

If Jackman decides to retire from the role of Wolverine, Fox will not retire the character because to them the Wolverine role is now bigger than even Jackman, so they will recast. The same thing will happen to Iron Man once RDJ hangs up his suit for good.

Rumor is he's gonna retire from the character after The Wolverine 2 anyway so we'll see. I still dont think they'll recast but maybe just write him off since you cant really kill off Wolverine.

They've done it for Bond 5 times, and will do so again once Daniel Craig leaves. There was a time when people thought that no one could possibly replace Sean Connery in that role. There was a time when people thought that no one could possibly replace Michael Keaton as Batman. So yes, it can and has been done.

It's a pipe dream, but I would gladly accept the permanent retiring of the Wolverine character from the Marvel/Fox X-MEN movie franchise.

Maybe then we could see the character (legally eligible) to show up as a "New" Avenger in the MCU and finally wearing a god-dang proper costume. Shades of brown with the appropriate head gear, thank you very much.

Anyone have any idea what the timeline will be like for the Netflix shows? I know DD in 2015, but will they only produce one series a year? If so, then it will be about 5 years before the actual Defenders series gets produced, which sucks. I'm hoping for a Jessica Jones release 6 months after DD.

Logistically, it wouldn't make sense to follow a "one show per year" schedule.

Each show basically has an independent creative team; writers, producers, directors, showrunners et al. So they should be thought of as independent shows, similar to how Marvel Studios manages their movies. So I think The Defenders can be considered the de facto second season for all four shows similar to how Avengers could be considered a sequel to each independent franchise.

If I'm right, the schedule could look something like:

Early 2015: Daredevil
Mid 2015: Jessica Jones
Late 2015: Iron Fist
Early 2016: Luke Cage
Mid 2016: The Defenders

For Wave 2, they could (IMO should) combine Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones into a Heroes For Hire show, and replenish the ranks with Punisher and Moon Knight. So hypothetically...

Early 2017: Daredevil (season 2)
Mid 2017: Moon Knight
Late 2017: Punisher
Early 2018: Heroes For Hire
Mid 2018: The Defenders II

...and so on.

A pretty exacting schedule, to be sure, but Marvel Studios has proven that such an intricate, well-planned, precisely executed model can work for their movies, and I'm sure their vision for the Netflix shows will be similar in scope and scale.

We know that DD is coming in 2015, and that Jessica Jones will follow. As for specific dates, they haven't been revealed as far as I know.
