You know what's funny? John Campea on AMC Movie Talk would have to eat his own words. I remember him in one video(I forget which one) flipping out on why Avengers 3 being a two-parter is a stupid idea.

I lost a lot of respect for Campea after he keeps praising Amazing Spider-Man 2, Man of Steel but hates on Agents of SHIELD so much.

I don't think Gunn is BSing about no PH for now. I think maybe that will be GotG 3 honestly. Because after IW 1+2 we will have almost all the major players from the Illuminati therefore they can be the catalyst to launch Hulk into space like the comics. That way it prevents the Avengers (the team itself) from being the ones who do it to him. And then it would set up an awesome solo film for World War Hulk upon his return

So by the time the Infinity War Pt II rolls around we'll have at least:

Captain America
Iron Man
Thor
Hulk
Black Widow
Hawkeye
Nick Fury
Vision
Quicksilver
Scarlet Witch
Black Panther
Ant-Man
Captain Marvel
War Machine
Falcon

As well as:
The Inhumans
The Guardians of the Galaxy

And this is only the movies we're talkin. Not sure if Defenders will factor in, but they'll be around too.

Movie's gonna be huge.

You forgot SHIELD along with the Netflix characters so Daredevil, Luke Cage, Elektra, Jessica Jones, Misty Knight and Coleen Wing are going to show up, possibly also White Tiger if Victor or Ayla is in Luke Cage and Echo if Maya is in Daredevil.

And then if Spider-Man reverts... it'll be the single biggest film of all time.

The big loser here is Ant Man. Not only was there no mention of that film as far as I could tell, Fiege said that Captain America: Civil War would kick off Phase 3...so Ant Man is seemingly this forgotten film that comes after Avengers at the end of Phase 2.

There was no mention of Ant-Man, because this was the phase 3 roll out.

Maybe something Ant-Man related is in Cap 3: CW.

Which is why they showed the trailer for Age of Ultron and brought Whedon out to talk about it?
But what news is there really to report on a film that's in the middle of production? AoU has trailers and teasers that they can show and talk about. They have to let Ant-Man get some stuff in the can before having anything to actually release.

I actually think Ant-Man might tie into Civil War. Judging by Pym's superhero views in comic-con footage I think he might play a hand in the pro-regulation side provided he doesn't die in Ant-Man.

Scott Lang: You seem very nice... but I'm no superhero.

Hank Pym: Which means you're not an egomaniac and you're not an undisciplined moron!

And right after:

Hank Pym: Superheroes? ... What a god damn joke.

I also think GOTG2 is Planet Hulk.

Maybe this is Marvel's way of having a quasi Hulk solo but giving him the backing of a successful franchise like GOTG so that the general audience are also going to see them, in case they wouldn't just go and see a Hulk movie.

Inhumans is going to look amazingly beautiful on the big screen.

Anyone else think these new contracts Marvel is handing out now include tons of stuff like TV appearances, Netflix appearances and cameos in other films that won't cost them a movie appearance? I'm sure they have all that in there now. My guess would be those kind of things are going to be the major factor for the current roster returning or not. No way in hell does Marvel not include all that stuff but sadly it may prove to be too much of a commitment for people like Hemsworth, Evans and RDJ considering their status now

Hasn't Gunn adamantly denied the "Hulk in GOTG2" rumors, going as fas as to say he'd "never ever" do it?

G'day,

Add Mockingbird and Deathlok to that list.

Ralph

I don't see GOTG2 as Planet Hulk, as I would think development wise they'd still have more cosmic characters to introduce before Infinity War, like Adam Warlock who's already been teased. I could see Planet Hulk being its own thing after Infinity War, but who knows.

I don't think they will wait that long for it. Also, the Guardians will need a reason to come to Earth in Infinity War. What better way to learn about the Tesseract, Thanos, Chitauri, etc from Earth. Having the Hulk reveal that A - gets them involved in the story, B - Gets Hulk back on Earth. It is win-win.

Doesn't matter what they announced. Someone was going to be disappointed. I'm pumped for all of them but if I had to rank them...

1) Ragnarok
2) Infinity War
3) Black Panther
4) Inhumans
5) Civil War
6) Guardians 2
7) Captain Marvel
8) Ant-Man
9) Dr. Strange

I feel Ragnarok is too soon but if that's what it takes for Marvel to pull out the stops on Thor then I'm all for it. I really want to see a Thor/Loki: Blood Brothers story arc where Loki's actions build up to Ragnarok with elements of Simonson's Surtur Saga and Oeming's Disassembled resulting in a climactic battle for Asgard to rival Peter Jackson's Battle of the Pelennor Fields. Fenris, Jormungand, Ulik, Ymir, etc. bring it!

I hope GOTG2 is not Planet Hulk. I'd like to see something more like the Universal Church and Adam Warlock/Magus introduced. Especially considering the build up to the Infinity Gauntlet storyline it seems more logical.

I'm cool with Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel but they absolutely have to introduce Mar-Vell of the Kree in the film as well. I will be very disappointed if they gloss over the very important part of Marvel lore.

Civil War sounds like it will be very different from the comics. Probably for the best.

He was, but on re-watch you really realise how small his role was, he even gets the least to do in the final battle, despite having all the best moments of course. I just want more of him personally.

Well, this is probably obvious after my comments, but Hulk is absolutely my favourite of the Avengers, by some way, so I feel he is just being under-utilised, especially with not getting a solo movie in phase 3.

But yeah, I loved the 1st Hulk movie, TIH was okay, but I think they can better both, there are countless stories from the comics they could adapt.
I'll take a smaller role in the 1st team film for the amount of man-of-the-match / MVP moments he had in that film, although hopefully he gets more in AoU ((& I think he does). I bet he's a lot of the GA's favourite after that. And we weren't even guaranteed to get Hulk in an Avengers film, but after that performance they will disappoint a lot of regular guys if they ever drop him. If they start using stories that don't have him getting chased around they'll realise there's tonnes of good material they could use to make Hulk one of their leading solo characters as well as team superstars. But I do think doing a good Hulk film takes more skill than doing a good Cap or Iron Man.

The fact of the matter is this...

NO ONE views Ant Man as being the final piece of Phase 2. EVERYONE considered it a Phase 3 movie. However...it lost even that bit of hype as it is now an afterthought of Avengers 2. If they were going to take that away from it, you'd think they could have spared a minute to mention the film...SOMETHING. Everyone who was thinking that Ant Man was a throwaway film certainly did not get any debate from Marvel here. And A LOT of people are viewing Ant Man as a throwaway film.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 doesn't need to be Planet Hulk for Hulk to be in it.

Inhumans is going to look amazingly beautiful on the big screen.
Depends on the crew filming it.

Would be a great way to keep Pym around and give him something to do that has meat in the MCU. He could basically take Tony's role in CW but by the end of it he is mostly on board with the whole superhero thing
