I'm sure a lot of guys are up for a Marvel role right now.

Oh hell no. Seriously? He can't act for sh**. If he is up for something, I hope Marvel comes to their senses and casts someone else.
from the page that Shall Not Be Named:
Sometime last night, Screen Rant spotted a Twitter post from James Todd Smith, better known as LL Cool J, which indicated that the rapper-turned-actor may have a role in an upcoming Marvel movie. "I'm so ready for this role in Marvel movie," read the tweet which could very well mean he only hopes to be in a Marvel movie; maybe one of the many that Marvel Studios announced yesterday. Anyhow, Screen Rant speculates that if LL Cool J is in fact up for a part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and not Fox's or Sony's ventures, then he could very well be playing Power Man aka Luke Cage. However, the character is only set to get his own Netflix series, as opposed to a movie, before joining The Defenders. Still, Daredevil will feature one of Luke Cage's ex-girlfriends from the comics, Claire Temple aka Night Nurse, played by the Rosario Dawson. Therefore, it's definitely possible that Marvel has cast LL Cool J as Luke Cage for a brief appearance on Daredevil which kicks off next summer. Of course, we can only speculate at this point, but what do you think?

UPDATE: LL Cool J has just returned to Twitter with yet another cryptic tweet: "It's a movie." Could this indicate that he's already locked in a for a role? A role that probably isn't Luke Cage after all? Only time will tell, but who else do you think LL Cool J could portray from the Marvel lore?

LL Cool J would be good in the MCU if the role was for "Shirtless Guy #1"

Prefer "Shirtless guy, that get's squashed by Hulk #4" but I'd settle with your suggestion.

LL Cool J has been known for being Shirtless in many of his film roles, much like Matthew McConaughey was before Matthew took his acting seriously.

LL Cool J tweeted he is up for a role in a Marvel movie

At this point I'd say 95% of Hollywood would be up for a Marvel movie.
LL Cool J doesn't fit anywhere in this universe in my opinion but if for whatever reason they've decided to include him, it is no doubt as a small inconsequential role.

Maybe LL is up for Erik Killmonger in the Black Panther film. I could see that.

Take the JLA story with Grant Morrison the White Martians. You introduce the martians and have them take down the league in part 1 the climax is Batman preparing to take them down. Part 2 is the climax.

That's a pretty horrible example to give. Noone wants to have a movie in 2 parts just to see the climax. That's exactly what's wrong with movies being two-parters.

I find it funny how some website says that Benedict Cumberbatch is in negotiations for Doctor Strange and the internet explodes, but Chadwick Boseman gets announced by Marvel at a press event unveiling 9 new movies, to be playing the Black Panther and only sites like this react. Benedict Cumberbatch has been trending on facebook for days on end and I haven't seen anyone post anything to do with Black Panther or any of the other Marvel movies. Why does the internet like this guy so much? I don't understand it for the life of me.

Chad Boseman is not very well known, that's why. I'd never heard of him before. Although I had seen him in Draft Day and thought he was alright.

Like it or not Cumberbatch has been in quite a few big films and is a star. People like him so the media will pay him attention. This feeds into the fans liking him more. Not sure what the complaint is, he's a very good actor.

We're hearing a lot about Cumberbatch because a Dr. Strange movie has been hyped up for months, and casting rumors have been swirling around for just as long.
Black Panther was announced and cast just yesterday, so there's nothing for people to speculate on and no rumors to start spreading. Not to mention that the internet is in love with Cumberbatch, and Boseman is a relative unknown.

Yes, but is he Nikita Cosby-Waldo good?

What's even more stupid, is the media asking Feige about the Doctor Strange casting at the Q&A, after all the announcements had been made.

Like he was going to suddenly answer ''oh you know what, I forgot to mention, ....... has been cast as Doctor Strange!''

Maybe LL will be a member of the Serpent Society.
Sure the title was a troll but I'm still convinced that they will be in the film in the same capacity as Batroc was in WS.

So uh, this is what I'm looking forward too, in order!

1- Cap: CIVIL WAR
2- Infinity War
3- Black Panther
4- GOTG2: 2Groot2Furious
5- Dr Strange
6- Captain Marvel
7- Thor: RAGNAROK
8- Inhumans

Honestly, I'm not so sure on InHumans because i'm not sure what direction Marvel is going with this...

If LL is in the movie, I don't see the big deal. He hasn't ever had a horrible performance, even if the movie itself wasn't all that great. If he's up for a Marvel role, congrats. Stop hating.

Anyway, I'm still disappointed that the Hulk having a movie wasn't part of the announcement. I get the feeling they want to wait & see if the reaction in AoU is similar to the first film but still...some news would've been nice.

Marvel really only seems to talk about a solo Hulk movie when they're asked about it. They keep saying they haven't forgotten about it but it's about to be 7 years since the last.

I'm really excited for all of them. Not one that turns me off.
