Mutants popping up around the world (? means not comics canon):

United States: Summers, Jean Grey, Emma Frost/Cuckoos, Henry McCoy, Bobby Drake, Warren Worthington, Rogue, Blob, Gambit, Guthries, Dani Moonstar, Boom Boom
Britain: Braddocks, Pete Wisdom, Rahne Sinclair
Ireland: Cassidys
Germany: Nightcrawler
Russia: Rasputins, Omega Red, Krylenkos, Ursa Major
Balkans: Maximoffs
Greece: Avalanche
Israel: Shadowcat?
Mexico: Riptide
Brazil: Sunspot, Magma
Kenya: Storm
Australia: Pyro
Japan: Silver Samurai, Sunfire, Armor
China: Jubilation Lee?

It would take a long time to introduce all these as anything other than botched bit parts, and huge swathes of the world are still unrepresented. I don't know if they'd ever address that.

Can someone give me a reason why people want storm to hook up with BP so bad? I never saw appeal. If you want it, than more power to you and I'm not trying to diss you, but I would like explanation is all. I actually liked Nakia in the BP and I don't want to see Nakia be taken out of the picture just because people want Storm. If it's a necessity for her to be in a relationship Why can't she be with another person like maybe Heilmdall or something?

I don't think people actually want Ororo and T'Challa as a couple. People bring up Storm in a Black Panther movie because the movie had this huge cultural impact in promoting diversity and celebrating african culture. So given the fantastic job they've done, BP seems like the best place to introduce and respect Storm's african origin.

So they can introduce her in a movie (written and directed by black people), respecting her african origin, and later she can join the X-Men movies as a lead.

Can they apply that same rule to Magneto?

Exactly

Oh ok that is definitely a better path. I was just a little confused and I got the wrong idea. I'm perfectly fine with her being part of the supporting cast of BP.

Anybody else think it would be cool to see Mystique show up in the Black Widow movie?

Im personally so over Mystique. She could work there for sure but Id rather not see her. If she were to go somewhere, Id rather it be in Captain Marvel

I think even many who would have originally wanted a relationship might have changed their mind after seeing Nakia in BP.

Yeah, I'm over Raven as well, but I want to see Rogue and I want to see her done properly. So I want her relationship with Raven (something we've never seen in FOX) in the MCU. So yeah, I'd rather see her in Captain Marvel.

Yeah, I’d like to see that in good time. Give her a break for now though.

2020 is too early to see Raven again, but she and Rogue should absolutely be in the first X-Men film together. If you "give a break" to all the good antagonists, there's nothing left to go to the theater for except the good guys's personalities being done well, which could be done over card games.

I'm just saying it would be cool to see Mystique be a recurring character in the MCU working as a spy for different agencies. We would only find out her backstory once Marvel decides to introduce her in an X-Men movie. Or if they decide to do the Rouge story in Cap Marvel 2

Anyway, after seeing Skyscraper I think Hannah Quinlivan would make a badass Raven;

Can they apply that same rule to Magneto?
Depends on what they do for Magneto. I'm personally in favor of a race swap for Magneto; at least for his character it makes perfect sense for a multitude of reasons. First: with what's happening in the current political climate and Marvel inevitably doing a modern update of the X-Men, you could make the case that his origin should reflect something that's more relevant to what's happening now in the world. (Arab or Asian Erik) Magneto is the type of villain that SHOULD make people uncomfortable because of what he represents.

Second - you avoid an 80+ year old Erik/Magneto which would be highly impractical for future films.

Turning their only famously Jewish superhero/villain into a Muslim would be extremely offensive, and Erik is a German/Ashkenazi name. You'd be offending people in order to do something incoherent.
Second, Al Pacino is only 11 months younger than Ian McKellan and wants to be in the MCU.

Would love to see Pacino in the mcu. Though I would imagine we'd see him as some sort of cosmic character as I think it was Guardians he was specifically praising.

You're saying it like Erik Lensherr is a real person. He's a character and he can be interpreted in a new way for the MCU. All it would be doing is taking Magneto and updating him to something more recent and relevant to the political climate of 2019-2021. The Holocaust is a very important part of world history and it's impact can never be understated but I feel like Magneto should represent xenophobia in modern America and it should make people squirm in their seats.

And no to an 80 year old Magneto. We need someone can play the role for at least a decade like McKellan did. Someone in the 50s range

Change the name "Erik Lehnsherr" to "T'Challa" in your first two sentences. Can he be changed willy-nilly without it being offensive?
Jews deserve the same respect.

Furthermore, artistically your movies would be much worse than the Fox ones. Great actors do not sign six-film contracts. Robert Downey Jr. was a fluke because Marvel Studios signed him when he had the huge stigma of being a drugged-out ex-con. Haven't you noticed that there are like ten Oscar-winning male actors in the MCU and they're not contract players?

T'Challa is a completely different kind of character than Erik. He does not represent oppressed minorities and xenophobia like Magneto does which was relevant to his time period. A more apt comparison would be using someone like Kitty Pryde (who is Jewish) as an analogy not Erik.

I don't think not having an Oscar-winning actor play Magneto will somehow make the movie less successful. People don't go to these movies to see Oscar winners, they go for the characters. Fassbender wasn't an Oscar winner when he was cast as Magneto and his performances have been critically acclaimed.

A jewish actor to me should play magneto, whether he's mixed race doesn't matter to me, but he should be jewish to me. Black and jewish, arabic and jewish, asian and jewish etc.

The jewish wikipedia says that Oded Fehr is.

I guess it's time to showcase my fancast.

There's plenty of other good female villains then Mystique.

MCU can make any character popular anyway

I could see MCU Emma Frost being as prominently featured as Mystique was in the Fox films. Starting up her rival mutant school would make a great running subplot.
