So I've heard that the manga is ending in 18 chapters. Is there any truth to that because if so I think I'll start to read it because I'll end up getting spoiled.

18 chapters? Highly, highly doubtful. But if you watched all the episodes you could start reading the manga since its still in the middle of the war.

Well, I think the battle against Kabuto is near the end (and I hope so, cause it isn't really exciting) and as soon as that one ends, the battle against Madara will probably end too. So, we'll have the rest of the battle against Tobi and the last fight against Sasuke. I think we have 20+ chapters ahead, but less then 30.

I tried reading some of the chapters after I was caught up with the anime but it felt like it was missing something. I guess it was because I was so used to watching it.

Seeing some of these things animated is quite enjoyable (for me it was Naruto vs Pain) but I don't have the patience to wait that long. Plus reading it feels less draggy.

Read until chapter 550 (I think) of the manga, and it's getting more painful to sit through the chapters, I think I'll skip this war and just read the highlights of it

Chapter 580 (whoa, that deep in? ) says it's the climax of the war, so maybe it's true about 18 chapters away

Nope, at least not yet. One of the things still to be resolved. I understand that the war is getting kind of tiresome because of how they defeat most of the undead army by doing the same thing. But if you've gone this far with it might as well keep going if you're near the end.

the war is still in full effect, got to remember naruto time and real time are different. only around 5-10 minutes have been shown since itachi and sasuke found kabuto.

who knows how deep naruto and tobi are in or how far the 5 kages are.

god this manga needs to end, they were going so so so well with the naturo/bijuu fights now I have no idea what's going on.

I think it would be better if we never find out who Tobi is. I don't think his identity even matters to me anymore at this point.

That wouldn't work for me considering how involved he is within the story. I mean there's still the mystery of how he's connected to Madara. If we never found out than Tobi would've just been a plot device which would be disappointing.

I'm happy to know about Kabuto's origin (and I knew it would be told sooner or later) but I'm craving for some action. We have two Uchihas at their prime and Kabuto in Sennin Mode. It should be a hell of an explosive battle.

with showing kabutos origin, its almost for sure hes about to be killed.

What's so hard to understand of Itachi and Sasuke fighting Kabuto?

Doesn't hold my interest nearly as much as Naruto/Bee vs the Bijuu.

I think he'll be burnt with Amaterasu, since he can regenerate with slices.

The Manga seems to be ending but i doubt it only has 18 chapters left, i believe it's more between 52 to 100, that is, if Naruto vs Sasuke last long.

I think this because lets not forget that Sasuke's Taka friends seem to be going to allie with him again and they found something that can change the tides of the war, considering that the Alliance is winning this would mean that it's something that will help Tobi's side.

Sasuke's only helping the alliance because lets be real, would he help Orochimaru or an Orochimaru wana be at this point? After this i hope they get back to Naruto vs Tobi, withl everybody going in their direction it seems like Tobi's true identity will be quite the revelation.

Decided to read the manga. I'm kind of glad I did but SO MUCH stuff was going down and Naruto still has to fight Tobi and Saskue (doesn't have to but you know it'll happen). I'm not sure who Tobi could actually be unless they actually do say it's Obito. That would kind of be a let down to me. I do love the fight going on between Madra and The Kages. Such badassery going on.

They need to make some omnibi of this series. I'd love to get back into it but I don't know if my bookshelf has the room for it! I quit the series in the volume where Itachi first appeared. I want to say it was right after the that blonde ninja, the one who was considered, along with Jiraiya and Orochimaru, to be a legend. Tsunade, I think her name was?...it was after she took up the role of Hokage for the Leaf Village.
