Naruto - Part 1

While the latest fight has been kinda crappy, Bleach's new arc in least has been pretty entertaining, possibly its best since the Soul Society Arc.

With Naruto i think that it will be a real shame if we get a Rocky III situation, after all the promises both characters have been making about their next encounter being the last.

The bad thing about Bleach is that it is readable in one minute. The good is that, when this arc gets animated, it'll be awesome. I can't say the same, for sure, about Naruto.

I don't want to disapoint you, but it's very possible that Bleach final arc won't even be animated, the series is no longer as popular as it used to, and while it still sells well, in the rankings of Shonen Jump it's usually in the bottom 5 ranked in popularity. Rurouni Kenshin and Shaman King never were animated until the end of their oun mangas, who knows what will hapen to Bleach.

Sakura is being useless again, i wonder if Kishi made this on purpose, because anyone trying to get out of the criticism a certain character of theirs gets wouldn't make such a joke out of her, as he did in this chapter.

Sakura at least had a brief moment of coolness. That's something right?

That moment felt like a parody to be honest.

She became as powerful as a Kage just in time for that level of power to be irrelevant.

And her power-up's temporary, which means that after the war she will become even more irrelevant.

And we just got another villain backstabing, this is what? the 4th one?

That was a great twist. Nobody saw that coming and we've been lacking interesting twists for a while now. I just hope we don't have the start of a whole new and long battle with Kaguya.

A good twist? Switching the Big Bad near the end of the story once is bad enough... This is the second time he has pulled this BS. Plus Kaguya is pretty much an after thought, at least we knew about Madara long before his twist. Honestly, this manga has become a parody of itself by this point.

BTW, despite being introduced a mere 30 chapters ago and has only been mentioned a few times since, I have seen people several people claim that she would end up being the final villain.

Edit: Although, if they do go with the Kaguya is the Ten-Tails twist it would all work out. As, that way, the major villain would have been around from the start and it would tie everything together.

I feel kind of sad that I have no opinion on this twist at all. Its just there.

I miss a time when the main characters coudn't stand a chance against top tier adult ninjas like the Akatsuki, or when the characters were learning new abilities. Kishimoto tried to make his war an epic event, but i think he just ended up creating a mess of a final arc.

Considering that I wasn't expecting Black Zetsu to thrust Madara's chest and actually hurt him and read no one calling it, it was a good twist to me.
I wouldn't even call Kaguya being the Juubi a twist. That's what people are already expecting.

I never thought I would be begging for this Manga to end... But I am. :(

I can barely follow the fights anymore, the setting has gotten so weird, talk about changing the rules of your movie time and time again.

I'm sure we're at a phase where we'll see a lot of heroic sacrifices

Also, a new film has been announced, it's supposedly going to be the last, so the series must realy be close ending, i guess it won't get to Volume 81 after all.

I don't get why if obito can open a portal with his mind to save kakashi he couldn't just open Another one rather than be a human shield. Even the characters are so bored of watching this fight drag on that they'd rather just die.

Any guess at the future of Sasuke or Orochimaru? It's doubtful that they'll get more story arcs, so their story will probably be finished, it's a little ridiculous that after all this build up, Sasuke as a villain is pretty much droped. Though he still has time to kill the elders.

I think there was a visible decline soon after the timeskip, probably after the first arc, with Sai being when it got kinda boring, then what followed was a bunch of good ideas that were badly executed, as the Akatsuki became less and less interesting, until a twist that completely blew Pain's hype, for me the worst offender was the children of prophecy stuff, completely clashed with my favorite themes in Part I.

But the past 3 years have truly been worse than usual, i wonder what Kishi was thinking, if he was trying to top Marineford with his Shinobi war arc, then he just shot himself in the foot, the latest reveal about who's behing this all has just made it more disapointing.

I haven't been able to keep up with Naruto for a while but what's Naruto's current relationship dynamics with Sakura and Hinata are both of those relationships "Unrequited" or is one of them making romantic progress with Naruto?

As far as I can tell Naruto has a better chance of ending up with Hinata than Sakura at this point. Sakura still going gaga over Sasuke.

When it seems like there's being progress with Hinata, Naruto's father talk about him and Sakura making a cute couple, it seems like Kishi's constantly throwing bones. It's been recently implied that Sakura will always love Sasuke, so that will likely end up being a couple by the end of the story.

Setting up Sasuke as a villain has also been thrown into the window, him wanting to kill Konoha has been very forced, but the idea itself of him gradualy turning evil did have potential, Berserk did it very well.
