If Portman is in this movie as Jane AND Jessica Biel is in it as Sif...then Thor is going to come off like the James Bond of superheroes. Which is pretty cool in a way.

Hopefully if they do use Don Blake they go the Jake Olsen route...he could still use a cane and all, but be pretty robust as well.

Producers lie... but I don't know how Thor learns humility if he isn't a human or a character with all the typical human characteristics. It may not look believable with a 6'3 muscular guy playing a crippled human being, but he doesn't have to be the Blake we all know. I am guessing if the producers aren't bull, maybe he'll just be this guy with amnesia that can't remember his name and has no legal identification. That would do away with Blake. But I can see why Marvel doesn't want two actors as it would be cheezy if the guy playing Blake disappears into a cloud and then comes out as He-Man or whatever. That's a turn off. I think it's best if he is some sort of doctor or physician on Earth though.

Why couldn't he be restricted to using a cane by some injury, but still be robust. Something on the idea of Dr House. Now he is not a Viking Thunder God, but he is not a 90 pound weakling either.

In a post-Benjamin Button SFX world, why would Hemsworth playing both be hard to imagine?

Do you guys think Natalie Portman's character, Jane Foster will be in Iron Man 2. Maybe she could be patching someone up after a fight scene. If this would happen then Nick Fury wouldn't be the only one connecting Iron Man to Thor.

She's one of my favourite actresses, I loved her in Garden State. She'll stir up a lot of interest in the movie, so I'm glad the decided to go with a big name who can actually act. It's going to be a lot of fun seeing her in a Marvel film, and I can't wait until they start filming so we can see how everyone looks as their character.

I :heart: Natalie Portman! She is a great addition to the cast and definitely brings the "street cred" to the movie that Hemsworth lacks. I think Hemsworth will do well in the role, but having Portman in there too definitely sweetens the deal a lot.

with jane foster in the mix you have to assume a fair portion of the movie is going to be set in the present time. it would be cool to see 'highlander' type flash backs to thor's time in asgard.

Marvel is just now actually announcing it., but she didn't really just get cast. There was speculation that Natalie would be in the film THOR, back in March, way before they even cast Chris Hemsworth.

Thor was pretty popular with the ladies in the comics. Sif, the Enchantress, the Wasp, Jane, and various others were always sweating him.
