Transformers Negatron: Discussion Thread for those that hate the way this movie is heading

I never thought I would actually post on this site, but I'm hooked after the third trailer. However, I have some issues.

First, Optimus prime probably looks the closest to the boxy characters in the cartoons(minus the flames), but he looks toyish in the trailer for some reason. He has more of a plastic look instead of a metal look. I mainly notice this in the scene where he takes the battle stance right before Tyrese says "bring it" in the trailer. Hopefully it looks better on the big screen. Or maybe its just me.

Also, I'm not feeling the way that thing on bonecrusher's head has a plant look to it. It looks like a venus fly trap.

He's the first Transformer to appear and he can't speak. So audiences who aren't familiar are going to think that they all can't speak like any other alien invasion movie. Weak idea...makes me want to bash someone in the kneecaps.

Not to mention he looks like a gimp...wtf

But it leads to so many funny and witty moments!
They worked backwards (gotta have the big mucle car!!!) and made him IMMENSE. So they had to make him "cuddly" some other way.

You know after seeing that tv spot of Frenzy head, i officially hate his design now...he looks so much like 'Johnny 5'..

Man this movie never ceases to dissapoint me... everytime i see something new, i see a stupid and wrong decision taken by the makers. 7-4-7 will be one dissapointing day i feel

What was it? The head-kick? We've known about that for eons. In the original script it was Megan that kicks the head.

The fans have taken so many kicks to the balls since this production began. I still remember the awesome Optimus truck under the sheet that was dropped for a Bay-style pimp truck. And the first pic of Megs that set the net on fire. Now, here we are about a month away. At this point I've become numb to all the stupid **** this crew has done to the TFs, but I still hope for a fun flick. But I will still expect one final kick.

No, not that, i didn't read the script and dont intend to either. It's Jazz getting the treatment he does (climax)

The only damn autobot to die...why not keep them all alive? It's like they said "hey we gotta make this dramatic, why not kill the small one, no one will care"

BB being the main show, looking like a gimp/maniacal killer (picture with his huge gun), him not being able to speak except in the dumbest and most silly way. I expect many lame songs, please no pop songs for the love of god...

the list goes on but those are my current issues today.

At some point I found it all funny. The first blow was Hot-Rod Bumblebee. Only a FEW of us cared. Pretty much no support. I so hated the TF "fan" community back then. Then it all erupted when Pimp-Truck Optimus and H.R. Giger Alien Megatron came out. I laughed.... I saw it coming.

Yeah... all fans have been kicked in one way or another. I guess the final kick will be when the movie ends up being more shallow and unintelligent than even the Bay-defenders expect.

The real kick will be how this film will be rushed in some scenes/cgi/actions. I also think some action shots will be edited to hell and chopped like a music video where it's all flash but you can't tell WTF is going on. Kinda like the fights in Batman Begins. I also got a feeling the movie will leave a sour taste after having ended, one where your not sure what to think of the movie as the end scene was just one giant mess of metal scrap.

So my workout was going well today, and the DJ on the gym radio says after the break their gonna play the new song from the Transformers movie...after the break we're treated to a freakin' GooGoo Dolls power ballad spouting some crap about "hold on thing's will change" or something. So the song ends and the DJ confirms "thats the googoodolls with their new song from the Transformers soundtrack"

I nearly dropped a dumbell on my head.

I mean the song sucked. It wasn't old school GooGoo Dolls, which was ok (IMHO) it was the new emo GooGoo Dolls and fairly disgusted me. If that's the direction they went with the soundtrack...heaven forbid where they took the movie...

I know many people didn't want 80's hair metal or techno on the soundtrack but emo-glam-rock for a Transformers movie? That's a whole other level of suckage.
