Today B-D reader 'glitterspunk' sent us in the promo posters for New Line Cinema's upcoming mini re-release of A Nightmare on Elm Street, which is a special 2-night "Sneak Preview" of the new Special Edition DVD. The film has been newly remastered, and, this exclusive showing features "Freddy's Best Kills" seen ONLY at this 2-night event. The Sneak Preview will take place in Select Movie Theaters nationwide on Sept. 20 and 21 at 8pm local. In the dreams of his victims, a specteral child murderer stalks the children of the members of the lynch mob that killed him. In addition, word on the horror street is that Dimension will follow in the footsteps of Freddy by showing John Carpenter's Halloween in theaters October 30-31st. Read on for the posters.

well you can try and see first in advance.

I envy each and every one of you lucky ****ers who get to see this in theaters. I live in Vermont so there is no chance any theater within 100 miles will be playing it. :(

yeah i know what you mean. this is one of the major disadvantages of living in a small small ass town like me. nearest movie theater is over a hour away from me.

Not sure if I'll be able to catch NOES in the theaters, but I'll definitely try and make plans to see Halloween for my birthday. (10/31)

Nope, they're playing September 20 and 21.

Halloween might play on Halloween, though.

I won't be too disappointed if I miss NOES on the 20th/21st. However, if my theater gets Halloween on Halloween, I'm so going to that dressed up as Michael Myers.

Anyone know where I can get a spare Captain Kirk mask?
