And?
Not everyone is fond of controversy in their films, not Christopher Nolan anyways
And?
What I mean is the press and the so called "soccor moms" will be outraged by the scene and put heat on the franchise.Nolan's already said Heath's performance will go forth as is, minus technical edits.
Regardless of what "test audiences" say.
Exactly. Glad to see some sense in this thread for a change.

I just hope thats not what it comes down to
This thread had only about 10 posts in it, so not much has been discussed really, the fact is Nolan is only going to listen to Heath's family, not just test audiences, I thought that was obvious.
I see what you meanMan, that sounds so familiar...
Oh yeah. Batman Returns and Batman Forever. It's happened before. And if WB doesn't grow a set and just let Nolan make HIS film for them, then that old addage will be true.

what about those Hollywood mags?I hope WB aren't listening to a bunch of old women who knows nothing about Batman to begin with.
He shouldnt have to listen to Ledgers family either. People should just leave him alone and let him make his movie. This is entertainment, its not real life!
Warner Bros is currently showing "The Dark Knight" to test audiences, who seem to be complaining about the same scene in the movie, which is being described as inappropriate. The scene shows The Joker, played by Heath Ledger, hiding in a body bag. It is obviously not meant to reflect Ledger's recent, tragic death, but audiences seem to be too sensitive to handle it. So, with editing still going on, it has been assumed that Warner Bros would remove the scene completely.
Now, MovieHole got in touch with a source close to "The Dark Knight," who revealed that nothing of Ledger's will be cut from the movie, including the bodybad scene. "I know for a fact that that scene is in the film," said the source. "I also know that WB has made no such mandate and that Chris [Nolan] is honest when saying that he will not change what was intended with The Joker."
Sounds like good news to me; I would hate to see any of Ledger's performance be compromised due to a tragic event. Let's not make a bad situation, worse.

qft good sirI truly believe that Nolan will stick his middle finger up to the soccer moms and stick with making HIS Batman films. WB have already seen the backlash from fans and critics alike after Batman Forever along with Batman and Robin.
Here's the thing though. No one should be complaining about the content of the film simply due to the fact that times have changed, people have changed, and kids these days spend most of their nights watching CSI, Dexter, and other television shows that contain more violence and darker material than Batman in general.
Nolan has already said that Heath's scenes will not be cut at all. So I wouldn't worry about that or the "backlash".
I don't understand how people can be so oversensitive to things that do not matter.

indeed but didnt Heaths parents say or it got out somehow that they want WB to proceed with everything?I would understand if Heath's parents or family would get upset. But random audiences?...this was the man' s work!![]()
