The Dark Knight No Joker scenes will be cut

indeed but didnt Heaths parents say or it got out somehow that they want WB to proceed with everything?

so psh the soccer moms can bite it

Heath's family should have no say in what happens with TDK. There son was an actor and a public figure. Are they film makers? No. Let Nolan make the movie he set out to make last April.

I HATE sensitive people that get offended by images to be honest. I was IMMENSELY pissed when they recalled the Spider-Man trailer and movie posters after 9/11.

When tragedies happen you shouldnt try to remove images so that people can forget about them, it should be the exact OPPOSITE. People shouldnt be allowed to forget stuff like that. Thats how you learn not to repeat past mistakes.

Only nowadays this country has become such a pu$$ywhipped version of itself that everyone thinks they have some God given right to not be offended, and thats not the case.

I say bravo to whoever decided to leave every Ledger shot in the movie intact. Cutting them out would be a disservice not only to Ledger but to the movie itself.

I just keep hoping that they won't cut anything. The bodybag scene won't bother anyone outside Australia and The US. I think cutting the scene would be extremely impolite towards international audience.

if Nolan is forced to cut the scene from the movie, they might as well force the creator of 'The Patriot' to cut Heath's death scenes out for further screenings on tv. what about the hanging scene in Dr. Parnassus? where do you draw the line?

I don't see this being cut, but if it is I'll be really ticked off

and i,m kinda going into this one with the las vegas mentality of expect to lose..

interesting. it's funny that the way jett's "source" put it, they aren't showing it to test audiences. but according to moviehole they are. but both essentially confirm that the scene exists. maybe they are all just assuming based on that one brazilian review.

Some elements are lost in translation too :)

My shears are pretty sharp and in my shed. They'd prolly do a better job

If it's really a scene from the film, then good. It shouldn't be cut.

End of story.

You know that this is similar to what happened with the United 93 film that came out not 2 long ago. Lots of controversy and stuff of people saying "too soon" and whatnot, and look what happened: Movie was a hit, it was well made and it was nominated for a few oscars (and the important ones too like best picture and best director). Hopefully TDK will fair just as good or even better, regardless of what happens 2 THE JOKER, and not Heath Ledger, in the movie. =D.

This is great news. I don't want a single nano second of Ledger's greatness to be cut :hoboj:

You can always pretty much just disregard anything from Jetts "sources"

Not everyone is fond of controversy in their films, not Christopher Nolan anyways

Can you explain how you know this? Has Christopher Nolan ever gone out of his way to not be controversial?

Sure, he hasn't been in the past - but he has never had a project that lends itself to controversy.

While Christopher Nolan is surely not an Oliver Stone who goes out of his way to be controversial, I think Nolan has the artistic integrity to now censor himself to avoid controversy.

Test audiences?

What happens if they don't like it?

Is the film scrapped?

I swear to god, the body bag scene better be in this film.

It probably will be, even if it means Nolan is off Batman for the sequel.

Lets hope WB isn't stupid enough to go back to how things were before Nolan *cough* Schumacher *cough*
