He is a brilliant actor. I've had him down as Freeze though, I doubt he will make it into a Nolan film though.

The other Ace and I were talking about how Isaacs would work as a bunch of Batman's villains. Freeze. Riddler. Ra's. Even some of the more obscure ones like Manbat, or Firefly (not that anyone wants to see THEM in a movie). :wow:

Hmmm I suppose you are right. But if he got the chance to work with Nolan again and got to sink his teeth into a role like The Riddler I have confidence that he would be awesome.

I picked him or Sam Rockwell for the Riddler. I'm kinda on the same page.

Yea with that icey cold stare Issacs could be any villain in any film and I'd believe it! :D

Rockwell ay? Great shout, he is a great actor as well. But he seems too rugged for me. I picture Riddler being more nerdy looking, Guy Pearce fits that better IMO.

Pretty sure someone else has already said this... but this kid.

With the worst name in the world... Logan Lerman. Though it does remind me of what Stan Lee used to do... create so many characters with the same letter at the beginning of each one of their names.

As for Riddler, I think either look would be okay. That character is so much about charisma, and personality that the exact look of his face isn't really vital.

Okay, I NEED to get back to editing. Sadly, I'm not getting paid to post online. lol, wouldn't that be grand?

yeah he'd make a good robin and is around the right age for a robin. Oh by the way how old was carrie kelly in TDKR cos she seemed older than most of the robin like mid teens or sumfin?

"Nolan...add Robin!!!!!!"

As Michael Caine would say "Nevah!"

like we haven't heard that joke before. but i mean come on i know everyones against robin but i mean its not like batman has been written well before or being true to the mythos. 60's batman? kinda campy, clooney? .... just clooney

and things can change, i mean ra's story was kinda tweaked as was Batman to fit the story so why can't robins and his attitude.

^ Because adding Robin makes Batman a less interesting character... it softens him up. Where the Batman Begins and The Dark Knight have lead us, Bale's Batman is nowhere near ready to take in a teenage boy and make him a sidekick.

well you got a character who is so obsessed in his war on crime that he'd put children in danger even train them to succeed him. I mean the fact he puts them in danger darkens him i'd say like the relationship between batman and robin its a mix of light and dark. H'es dark enough to put them in danger but still light enough to protect them from too much danger.

How does giving the Batman character another layer make him less interesting?

It could work if (I would wait until Batman 4 btw, not the next one.

~Robin is a boy in his early teenage years. His parents have died yadda yadda. Bruce in his late thirties/early 40's now, he is alone ever since he let the women only women who understood him (Selina Kyle) slip past his fingers.

~ Robin finds out about batcave, batman etc, thinks it will be cool to be a sidekick, Bruce and Alfre are totally against it, Dick respects that and instead helps in the batcave (he is a computer buff / mechancaly whizz.

~Maybe the next movie or two (5 or 6) He still is pleading, even making his own suit, desperate to be a hero. In the end he gets to be a hero by saving Batman from the older JOker (cough Day-Lewis cough), however he gets killed by the Joker. Drives Batman to finish it and kill the Joker.

The thing is that, for the movies, Batman history has been re-written. Robin, for example, has been written out of it.

There's a difference between being dark in your attempt to erradicate crime and being just pointlessly negligent.

Batman crippling Maroni in order to get an answer from him. That's dark. He crosses the line and he gets results.

Batman exposing a minor's life; sure, might be "dark" but it's pointless and negligent. Batman's not going to be one step closer to erradicate crime because of an underage in a costume. At most he'll get some immediate help - which he doesn't actually need btw - and that's it.

The whole point of Batman is to scare criminals. Robin makes Batman less of a scary monster to people. The scary factor descends when you have a kid at your side without the "bat" concept but red and yellow all over.

That being the case, Batman exposing obin's life is just negligence. It doesn't improve his work as a intimidating crime-fighter, so it's all rediced to just exposing a minor's life.

How does giving the Batman character another layer make him less interesting?

a happenings magazine just posted an article saying that Rahel Whyce, not sure if the last name is right, is playing Catwoman, Eddie Murphy is playing the Riddler, and yes Robin will be in the movie. Not sure if Robin is a set up for part four or not, but I think that would be the more realistic way to go. It was ridiculous how in batman #3 from the other series, the guy just discovers all his equipment and bam he's now a superhero.

Link?

I don't have any way to post a link. It's a Kenosha happenings magazine. It's a legitimate news source but it's free, and it's only distributed in Kenosha wisconsin. In order for you to see it, you'd have to go to Kenosha in the next few days and get a copy. They are free and they are distributed at just about every single public place.
