mmm, well if you look at some of the old cop shows or even knew shows there usually a rookie who has some experience. I think that would be a good way having them together Robin is a amateur vigilante with some experience like Bruce was in begins and Batman is kinda like ra's and he trains him and shows him new ways of doing things.

im all for robin being in the next batman movie. im sure nolan can do his character justice.

There can only be one fighter pilot alternate job in the DC Universe...
And it belongs to Hal "Green Lantern" Jordan

I'd rather see a faithful Robin. It's not that crazy if they do it subtley.

This Batman isn't in that universe. He's in his own, where superpowered people don't exist.

And aside from that, all characters adapted are up for interpretation. I'm simply giving mine for Robin and how I think he could work more efficiently in this series of movies.

Personally I don't like cunning stunts idea for Robin. sorry. I want Batman to know Dick/Jason whatever they name him before he's an adult, so he can be like a father figure to him.

Bruce is going for a drive through the ghetto when he discovers young teenage Dick, somewhere around the age of 16, beating the crap out of three punks at once. Anyways Bruce gets to know the kid and it is revealed that Dick did work in the circus as an acrobat. His parents were killed and he went into a foster care home, but ran away. He's a troubled youth needing guidance and a place to live as well.

He could already have previously studied martial arts as well. Bruce adopts the kid, who willingly accepts. Have it look kind of shallow on Dick's part though. He's only doing it for the dough.

have all kinds of complications in their relationship. Dick is a young troubled youth who acts out, talks back and is constantly getting into trouble.
Bruce starts training him in the arts, and he's rough on him. Really hard on him. A little too hard for comfort even. Alfred might even have to step in.

Needless to say have their relationship grow and improve gradually. He shouldn't even be Robin in this movie. At the end of the movie have Alfred mention to Bruce that he could probably use some assistance with his nightly activities. Don't let Dick hear it though.
But if Dick is around 16 in this movie, than in part four which takes place years later you could start out the movie with him already being Robin, or maybe call him nightwing. Although I think he should die in that movie. It sucks that Heath is dead because that would be the perfect movie for his return. He killed Rachel and then he kills Robin.

I'm really curious what people think about my idea. Please share your likes and dislikes.

I don't think Robin would or could work on film if he was that young.

I just want a faithful Robin

Doubtful.

...

Doubtful.

Hence why I came up with the idea I did. I figured that if a younger character would come into Bruce's life as a partner, it'd have to be Jason, who would in turn die, and show Bruce the reason why he, in the future, will try even harder not to endanger others.

Especially kids.

Honestly, I don't really care for Spider-Bite's idea. Not retaliation- it just doesn't seem to flow with Nolan's universe. I like the character of Robin, honestly, especially Dick Grayson- I just don't see the Robin we know in the comics being brought directly into these movies, if at all. Not tooting my own horn, but I think my idea could wind itself into the Nolan series quite nicely. Granted, I'm not a director, nor am I working with Nolan, so I seriously doubt it'll ever be realized.

Well, I'm glad after all the constant squabbling on here we can all agree Robin is a bad idea. Maybe in 13 more films or so we can think about it.

I think he is a bad idea to include in the next one, but I don't think he should just be dismissed. I would love to see Nolan adapt him, alas, that is not likely to happen. But I ain't gonna start crying about it.

yeah its too early for the next film but, for the fourth film it should take place at least 3 or 4 years after it.

As much as I would like to see Robin, how would they ever get him in?

Batman Begins and TDK have portrayed Batman as the ''Lonely Hero''. He isolates himself, ''he works alone''.

How on earth would they put that character into the film in a way that doesn't look pathetic?

He works with Gordon, Fox, Alfred, Rachel...He must have friendssss! :hehe:

:woot: Gordon, Fox, Alfred and Rachael don't run around in brightly coloured costumes assisting batman in actually kicking ass. They are non-'superhero' (couldn't really think of a better word) helpers.

They should leave Robin out, unless they can think of a half-decent way to bring him in.

Bah, Robin does not have to run around in red and green tights. And being a non super hero didn't stop Gordon from driving The Tumbler :hehe:

The Tumbler's a piece of cake. I could drive the Tumbler :hehe:. But seeing Gordon all dressed up in a costume is hardly going to strike fear into the hearts of the Joker and such. Laughter is a more probable assumption.

As goes for the 'Batman Undergraduate' who calls himself Robin... it wouldn't fit into the newer Batman films. Didn't really fit into the 90's Batman films .

What surprises me is that if you guys can't accept Robin... how the hell can you accept guys like Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and pretty much the rest of the DC Universe?. If something as simple as Robin can't work how can everything else?

Same problem at Marvel. Fravreau's scratching his head on how to make the eventual meeting between realism based Iron Man and demi-god Thor

Yeah I don't get that I mean tehy can accept a guy from another planet but not a kid who fights crime.

I don't. They annoy me too.

The problem is not Robin, but Robin next to Batman. Batman becoming a father and having a colorful side-kick kid. It ruins the best of Batman.

About Iron Man and Thor... I don't know. But it's not like if it had worked in comic books it'll immediately work in a movie. Same with Robin.

Well Robin's costume doesn't have to be colourful they can darken it and the character yet still stay faithful to the actual character.
