Now that Hollywood is seemingly targeting the 90's, what do/don't you want to see?

More Pirates of Dark Water in any shape or form would be amazing...

Not mine, but this was an interesting cast...

LOL!^ I can see it.

With the cartoons, when people don't specify especially with the anthropomorphic animal toons, do they mean they want live action versions, CG updates, , just traditional animated revisions?
Also when they do list an actor, do you mean as their voice actor? Ot straight-up playing them?:funny:

If they ever make a Duke Nukem film, they must cast the guy who plays Abraham on The Walking Dead as the Duke. It would be glorious.

I was thinking about this a day or two ago, as I do every so often. Disney have just been sitting on the Gargoyles property for years without doing anything substantial. It's ripe for a reboot, and would certainly make for a pretty original film -it'd be great to see a live action Zanatos and co.

That would be totally awesome. Unfortunately, if what I've heard is true, it is highly unlikely to ever happen. My former roommate is a HUGE Gargoyles fan, and according to him the creator of Gargoyles and it's characters had a falling out with Disney.

According to my old roommate, the guy who developed Gargoyles for Disney was very particular about quality control. He insisted that every episode be up to his very high standards. Throughout the second season, Disney was insisting on making shortcuts, changing certain elements of the series, etc. Eventually he was forced out, which is why there is a severe drop in quality throughout the third season. Heck, in the Season 3 Premier Episode, Brooklyn was chasing a van full of bad guys while trying to impress Angela and crashed because he wasn't watching where he was going BUT THEY FORGOT TO DRAW WHAT HE CRASHED IN TO.

Anyway, according to my friend, the show's creator has an iron bound contract with Disney. Any time Disney does anything with Gargoyles or its characters they have to pay him a royalty, regardless of whether or not he's with the company. Buying out his contract is too expensive, and not honoring it will lead to a lawsuit which would be even MORE expensive. So out of spite, in order to ensure that he'll never see a penny in royalties, Disney will never produce any Gargoyles DVD's, reboot the series, make a live action movie, develop any action figures, or anything else to do with the series.

At least that's what I've been told.

Wasn't it Greg Weisman? Didn't he do Star Wars Rebels for Disney recently?

Also loved that show. The opening theme is epic!

Man, I miss the 90's cartoons.
Now all I need are live action big budget Animorphs and Digimon movies.
And amen to Animorphs, Digimon and also Pokemon. The technology and the audience is there.
Still waiting for a Carmen Sandiego movie.
pretty sure jennifer lopez is doing that movie

Now where's my live-action Magic School Bus, Hollywood? :argh:
I don't know any actress that can do Ms. Frizzle (the Friz) justice.
I want Gargoyles, Dexter's Laboratory, Cowboy Bebop, and Salor Moon.

Yes! Magic School Bus needs to happen!!! Wow lol alot of the 90's shows were incredibly diverse (Power Rangers, Captain Planet, Animorphs, Magic School Bus...etc)

Continued from the Captain Planet thread.

The Magic School Bus
Animorphs
Digimon
Gargoyles

I'm already getting Power Rangers and Captain Planet so those other 4 would be icing on the cake.

I'm not gonna lie... I'd watch the **** out of Gargoyles movie. It's a movie about gargoyles. It's a very unique idea.

Hey that's great! Although the Netflix show will be Animated right?

Netflix might be the ones to pretty much update everything listed in this thread.

CG animated though...

And yeah, Netflix is a great way to go. KA Applegate even agreed that Animorphs would make for a great Stranger Things-esque show.

Edit: I want this so badly.

This show was pure gold when I was a kid. As long as it didn't turn out like the current TF movies (though happy for it to be set in the same continuity)--
