Ha! Yeah, I'd be fine with 3 hours. The credits for these are usually around 10-12 mins so that's a 2 hour 50 min movie. Epics should be like that. TITANIC, THE GODFATHER.
And yes, especially if you're seeing this in IMAX multiple viewings lol. $25 a ticket.

In alot of ways this is the epic the conclusion to 10 years of marvel studios, trust me this will be 3 hours long.

11 years if you count 2019. Real close to a chapter. After watching that video up there, I'm getting really hyped.

Wow so they have already had test screenings of the three hour cut? Man those people were lucky, but in all seriousness if its already getting great reception from the test screening audience than why the hell not keep at three hours? They know people are really invested in this franchise and in these characters and if we can get three hour Batman, Transformers and Pirates of the Caribbean movies than we should be able to get a three hour Avengers movie, especially one as important as this.

Might take a step back or a period of down time perhaps until the next avengers film is announced

There will probably be a section of the audience that do want that, but the good thing about the MCU is that they can keep bringing fresh content so that it’s not like getting Terminator 15 or Pirates 10. You are still getting brand new films and superhero films can draw on quite different material and tones.

Exactly and I love the bit where Anthony Russo said that in the first three test screenings of the three hour cut no one got up to use the bathroom lol. Now that is dedication baby.

"Phase 4" almost scares me lol. Because we have an IDEA of what will happen in ENDGAME, but not completely. It also scares me because all we know is FAR FROM HOME in terms of the next "phase". Other than that, it's been radio silence.

Yeah marvel so far hasnt overstayed its welcome at the box office but realistcally how long can marvel keep it up with the different phases and different characters? Its gonna be hard to get actors who sold it like downey has.

We also have people that keep following TV shows that have 10-24 hours of content each year. I think Marvel is fine with their 6-8 hours of films. As long as there is quality and variation things will keep going.

Pretty sure. Dr Strange 2 and Eternals both have directors attached. I can’t remember for Shang-Chi. But Black Panther 2 is much further out than any of those three.

I understand that, but its not like three hour blockbusters haven't made a ton of money before, and no matter how long Endgame is its going to make a hell of a lot of money anyways and I'm sure Disney knows it. If they do end up cutting stuff I hope its not more than like 20 minutes max.

If it's still 3-hours this late in the game and they're test-screening it, then that means IF anything gets cut now, it will be an entire subplot. Because everything else is trimmed as far down as it should feasibly go. And I don't want to lose a whole subplot, so I hope it keeps its length for that reason as well.

I'm nitpicking, but I wish Thor had his cape flowing while holding Mjölnir or Stormbreaker with The Hulk also following behind. It would add to the silhouette-esque shot. Iron Man too obviously.

I’ve never liked Thor’s cape: I don’t know why, but the outfit he had in Infinity Wars was the best he’s ever had, IMO.
