Ultron was extremely well written, as the dialogue was firing on all cylinders. The 3rd act was not as thrilling as it should've been though. Remember that apocalyptic artwork they released of all the Avengers basically swarmed by the Ultron bots? We never got that and IMO they missed a major opportunity. IMO their best action sequence was the tracking shot in the very beginning of the movie.

I'm 100% sure fans would be way more forgiving of AoU if it had something like that to show a more powerful Ultron. And I actually agree, imo the Sokovia battle had a lot of great bits, especially when it comes to character moments, it just lacks the 'wow' moment for the main villain, something Infinity War managed to do from start to finish with Thanos. Ultron had great scenes/lines, but he needed at least a big badass action scene.

IM2's tone is a bit odd after the Tony/Rhodey house fight but I do find the stuff at the Stark Expo at the end to actually be pretty good, although I do think the final fight with Vanko could have been better executed. The movie at least has a theme about dealing with one's mortality and leaving a legacy. With TDW, the action scenes are fine but the story just feels so piecemealed together that there just doesn't feel like much connectivity to any real theme or goal except seemingly to introduce the latest Infinity Stone. If I was given of choice of only one of those films, I'd pick IM2 every time.

IM3 is MCU bottom 3.

My bottom 3:

IM3
Thor 2
Civil War

In that order.

For the record, I think Civil War is a very well made film. I just cant abide nor do I have the patience for the stupidity of all the characters in that film. And I ****ing despise Ross and the way the attack on New York and Sakovia is used to paint the Avengers as bad and out of control **** ups. Seriously, **** Ross and **** those stupid fascist accords.

So some pretty huge potential spoilers regarding the merchandise have been floating around. So be careful. Click at your own peril...

Looks like the heroes build their own Gauntlet at some point.

Tbh I'm not too suprised by the spoiler as I expected it to happen and the trailers/clips pretty much hinted it.

I guess the dwarf was dusted otherwise Stark and Thor could have gotten him to forge another Gauntlet at Niðavellir.

Unpopulest unpopular opinion! I miss Whedon's Avenger group battle scenes. You know when the music becomes high energy and we see those teamwork shots that show each Avenger working off the other in perfect sync. Didn't get that in Infinity and I feel like thats an Avenger staple by now.

hope we see it all in endgame aye. I wanna see iron man reflecting his beams off caps shield again. and we need a god damn callback to thor powering up tonys suit! COME ON

Tbh I'm a big fan of IM2. It was just aesthetically pleasing to me. Much more than IM3. The locations had this grand feel to them (Stark Expo, The Shofuso Japanese House and Garden with the cherry blossoms in the final battle) I just loved those locations. The suits also looked terrific, I was a bigger fan of the IM1 suit that had a "real" look and feel to them as opposed to the CGI heavy suits we have now, and the IM2 suit, as well as War Machine's suit, looked terrific here. The briefcase suit was fun to see. The final battle was definitely a letdown, but I would argue that the IM3 battle (if not for the spectacle of having all those other suits) was an even bigger letdown considering they butchered the Mandarin thing. Plus it introduced Stark to the Avengers which was neat. I'll always vouch for IM2, especially over 3, and it definitely isn't a great movie by any stretch.

I also like these. I wouldn't say they are an unpopular opinion.

Voted up. I also prefer Iron Man 2 to Iron Man 3.

So who is everyone excited to see in new action scenes the most? I hope everyone gets to shine and that there's a lot of team up combos but I have to admit that I'm looking forward to Hulk and Thor in action the most.

I do hope Captain America gets the best and biggest action highlights though and especially if he's going to die.

If the snapped returns for some action in the final battle then I'm also looking forward to Black Panther and Dr. Strange

I agree. That Avengers tracking shot and the assemble scene for the first time still gives me chills. I'll never forget watching those scenes with a packed audience opening day and everyone lost their sh*t.

This time in two weeks I'll be watching the last minutes of Endgame
