You probably would get a better view of what's going on as far as if they are done or not on the 4th st bridge

A lot of you are complaining about the PA's.. They're losers, they're acting like a-holes.. Guys, remember, you are random people lurking around the set trying to sneak photos.. If you're annoying them, they have every right to tell you to leave. They are working. They may be on edge, may be overly cautious, but they have more of a right to be there than any of you, and they are told to keep you guys away from the set. The more they have to deal with you, the less productive they can be. Keep in mind, nobody on this set really wants you guys hanging out taking photos. Not saying you should leave, but, be more respectful of whatever they say. If they're being a-holes, maybe they're annoyed with you.

Oh crap. Maybe there was an accident and the Bale injury tweet was true?

ETA: Nevermind. The one who tweeted it just said this-

@FallenStar1: @infamous you can believe what you want. That's what we were told my people on set. It wasn't anything major.

@FallenStar1: Just saw Christian Bale walking to set #DarkKnight

I tweeted the girl saying she was bluffing and she replied with

@FallenStar1: @infamous you can believe what you want. That's what we were told my people on set. It wasn't anything major.

Looks like they are still on break. No shooting at all. :/

Haha yeah. I saw it too. I edited too late. :hehe:

I don't know, and I don't want to talk to the PAs, they are acting like aholes. They think they are real security. Pff!

PA's are real security, and are tasked with managing onlookers and passerby's while shooting -- one of my buddies is one of the PA's you're calling an ******* and they're simply just excited to be part of this project and -- WITH MORE REASON THAN YOURS -- have every intention and desire to respect Nolan's privacy and the integrity of the film. Get over yourself. No one is entitled to see anything about this movie and technically, they could escort you away as when they sign and secure rights to film at any particular location in LA, they are technically "owning" that area on lease from Los Angeles County -- not from you.

F'nn PAs telling me not to lean over the bridge.

Use some common sense. If you're leaning over the bridge --- regardless if you can see anything -- you could fall and injure yourself, which requires paramedics to arrive on scene, which could then delay shooting.

This is rather a silly comment. I would rather be a 'loser' PA than a retailer any day.

Exactly, most people on here are retailers, sales clerks, accountants, students.

The people who are out in LA, from interns to PA's, are literally getting to be part of the moviemaking process. Yes, I'm bias as I work in the industry as well -- but I never lose sight of the fact that I have a job that thousands of people would kill to have and am very lucky to meet and work (sometimes directly and one-on-one) with heroes from both my childhood and current idols...

Maybe it's Chris Judge... Or someone else.

@FallenStar1: All we are hearing over radios is Chris the actor injured. May not be Christian Bale. We just saw him walk to set looked ok #DarkKnight

*sigh*

Yet you gladly consume the work of people who were PA's themselves decades ago.

I am a 20 year old double major in Business and Film at USC. I love being on the Batman sets and spying to get pictures because it is a blast. And ya, PAs are losers in my opinion. I know what their job is, and SOME of them are cool. But for the most part, they just lie and tell you they have the right to kick you out and prevent you from taking pictures. They also lie about their jobs. They are just freelancers trying to get into production. They have no involvment with the actual studio and shoot, they just know someone and was able to get hired for a shoot and get paid by the hour to "lock things" up. They basically do ***** work.

Of all people, you should know that you have to do crap work especially in Hollywood. If im gonna do crap work, then make mine a Nolan film. Don't judge them till you try to actually get work when you're done with school.

God, what a waste your degree's gonna be b/c you'll have absolutely no future in this industry with that elitist attitude. Such are most USC students, thus why no one's hiring them as much anymore...

Honestly dude, not even being sarcastic, I have seen so many film school graduates crash and burn and RUIN themselves because they think they are above PA work or interning. Those PA's are busting their butts -- yes as freelancers -- so they can network and pay the bills, and can sustain themselves and industry-related momentum while they're out here. It's casting a wide net. You could be on set as a PA and then get picked up.

For example, an A-list director I know of, the current head of this director's production company, the person in charge of helping the director choose the projects, receives producer credit on all projects, and overseas the projection, started as PA on one of that director's films, ironically a superhero film. Or another example, Kevin Feige -- the current head of Marvel Studios, was a lowly assistant on X2. The producer of Captain America, Marvel's total point person on that film after which the cafe at the end was named, started as a PA on Marvel's out-liscened films, became Feige's 2nd assistant, and now just produced and helped develop Captain America.

You never know who you'll impress, meet, or befriend on a set, and who that person may know, etc. etc.
