Are there solid reports of mini tumblers? I don't see any. And the street is plenty big enough for the tumblers, you could fit all 3 going side by side down the street.

I don't think there is, I think it was just the angle of the photo that made it appear smaller.

I am trying to figure why there are mini tumblers! Maybe, the regular size where to big for the action scene just a guess.

It's clearly a small Tumbler. There is a guy standing right in front of it, and he towers over the thing, and he is just as wide, if not wider than one of the tires. I think it's a miniature Tumbler.

All those people complaining about traffic. Batman is filming right next to them. They don't know how lucky they have it. :argh: :oldrazz:

That is a HUGE truck... i have never seen one of those before. Was it made specifically for this movie or is that a special military vehicle thats in production?

It's similar to Sentinel Primes alt mode

looks like Bane will be reighning over Gotham for a long [late fall through at least full winter] while...

Is that modified Patriot set to be part of the chase? or are the crew just using it to move equipment?

The Tumbler isn't has big has you might think, Height wise it's only 5'4 and the front tires are Hoosier Dirt tires which are only about 22 inches wide, so anyone taller than 5'7 and wider than 22 inches is going to tower over it and be wider than one tire. Here's pics of it without the tarp in the same spot for comparison.

My wife works in downtown Pittsburgh. She just e-mailed me two pics of the car.

I think it's part of the chase. The chase scene has been described as a Tumbler/truck chase, and that thing was seen driving around doing practice maneuvers with the 3 Tumblers at the airport. Will be an awesome chase scene for sure. :woot:

:wow: So that is the truck, all this time I thought it was going to be the one with the machine gun mounted on top, this being the truck makes a lot more sense as to why it will feature prominently in a big action sequence.

dumb question, but are they supposed to be filming most of this in imax? Ive seen a lot of reports in the twitter feed thread of most the shots with imax. which would be awesome. I just didnt know if they were doing it for mostly action shots or if it was something nolan said they wanted to do for most the film

Maybe it will be like "The Long Halloween"

The ending could be in the sweltering summer.

Check your eyes Mako. That's a miniature tumbler.

EDIT: Further examination, maybe you're right lol

Compared to this thing? Yes, The Tumbler most certainly is bigger than this pic.

Man, if they were following "The Long Halloween" I wish they would have used Calendar Man!

I guess they could still kinda use him in a minor role. It's been a while since I perused Long Halloween but from what I remember Batman only goes to him for advice?
We could see Batman visiting him while explaining who he is.
Not very likely but possible.

I've just run it through the bat snow analyser and the built up snow on the wheels matches the pics of the obviously full size one. Optical illusion from the ramp and the guy standing in the way.

If that's the one In question, then it's not mini. The only one that's been driving on the snow was the turret one.

That looks like the turret one. If you look at the right side of it(our left in the pic), you can see that's where the turret would be, plus, it's camo. And the guy standing right next to it, plus the guy in front of it, are taller than the turret, while in the other pics, the turret goes above the guys neck. Plus, it doesn't even look nearly as long.
