i just want him to be a skrull...cuz well...he and cable should be partners(in every sense of the term) not enemies

After reading some of your posts in this thread, do you seriously think you'll ever be a marvel writer?

Why, yes I do. I fail to see how one has anything to do with the other. Please enlighten me.

Yeah, I'd like to be enlightened too. I want to see where this goes.

The dude doesn't even understand the basis of what's going on, so on and so forth.

... Yeah, I'm sure. Because he hasn't read Cable & Deadpool? This somehow disqualifies him from being a writer at Marvel?

Let's see. I don't read Bendis's Avengers titles, so apparently I can't write at Marvel. Ever. Aw, rats.

hmm...lets see Brubaker knew practically nothing about the X-men when he started writing for them. He was chosen because he has TALENT. Basic research can make up for lack of knowledge. Any other reasons why I can't write for Marvel? Because so far your reasoning has been devastating...devastatingly flawed that is

No, but wanting to write Cable and change his character without even know what's been going on with him in the past two years, is kinda far fetched.

Hmm..apparently you HAVEN'T been reading my posts.. I haven't ever expressed an interest in writing Cable. He is a character that really does not interest me. Therefore I don't really keep up with him. My friends here on the Hype boards brought me up to speed. The only reason I am following him now is because BISHOP is now in his book and some folks around here have convinced me to give Cable a try..now again...do you have a valid reason as to why I cannot write for Marvel? Or is your foot now stuck squarely in your throat?

Yeah, uh... Outty already touched upon this, but he hasn't said a single thing about writing Cable.

****, read his post wrong about Bishop.

Either way, GL getting a chance to write for marvel. =(

your support and enthusiasm is heart warming. really. But I will make sure to shout you out once I get on. trust and believe that.

I'll be writing for Marvel eventually. And hopefully IDW and Aspen too.

I applied for a designer job at Marvel doing graphic novel covers, and their Human Resources girl there was a total C***
I would never wanna work there now just cuz of that *****....

edit: wow, we can't say *****???

I disagree. There are writers that no matter how good they are, they simply can't GET a character. Especially with somebody like Deadpool, who is such a volatile weird character to begin with.

"Getting" the character is something inherently different from "knowing" about the characters. Getting the character is a feel. Knowing about characters is academic.

And Outcry said nothing about "getting" characters.

so does anyone know where i can find info about who's cable's new strike team

Uh... Cable's new strike team?

Cable's in a solo title now. So it's him. He's his strike team. And the baby. But the baby just rides around on the chest of the giant man-beast Cable.

well this is what i read from wikipedia

Post-Messiah Complex, Sam will journey to the future to help Cable raise the baby mutant messiah along with becoming leader of Cable's new strike team. [36] He will reportedly be involved with the first story arc of Young X-Men as well.

Post-Messiah Complex
Daken's cyrogenetic tube was located by SHIELD Agent Daisy Johnson (Quiver). Along with Cannonball and the rest of Cable's strike team, they take the frozen Daken along with themselves to the future. Later on Daken shows back up in the present with Cannonball as a member of Cable's team, X-Strike. Daken's bone claws and skeleton have now been laced with the metal, vibranium. Opposite of what his father Wolverine has. And also with his mind healed back to sanity by Cable through unknown means.[12]

also off wikipedia i read

Daisy Johnson is a fictional, superpowered secret agent in the Marvel Comics universe. A member of the international espionage agency S.H.I.E.L.D., she was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Gabriele Dell'Otto, and first appeared in Secret War #1 (April 2004).
Her look was modelled after actress Angelina Jolie in the film Hackers.[1]
[edit]Fictional character biography

Although she is often thought to be a mutant with seismic (earthquake-producing) ability, her powers come from her status as the illegitimate daughter of Calvin Zabo, the supervillain known as Mister Hyde (like certain other progeny of Marvel mutants, her genetics changed post-conception). Taken in by S.H.I.E.L.D. she is under the direct supervision of its longtime executive director, Nick Fury, even after the latter's defection from the agency during the events of the "Secret War" intracompany crossover event. She possesses a "Level 10" security clearance, the only known agent aside from Fury and the Black Widow (Natasha Romanova) to do so.
In her most visible action, Johnson has helped to defeat the powerful mutant rebel leader Magneto by inducing a vibration in his brain that made him lose consciousness. She states in this appearance that if the superhero team the Avengers let her join, she would adopt the moniker "Quake". Later, Johnson is contacted by the time traveling mutant Cable to join a mutant splinter cell consisting of her, Cannonball (Samuel Guthrie), Firestar (Angelica Jones), Sunspot(Roberto Da Costa), Gentle (Nezhno Abidemi) and Wolverine's son Daken to travel to the future to stop Bishop and to protect the messiah baby. Johnson now goes by the name "Quiver".

Assuming any of those plans are accurate, well, I guess you answered your own question, didn't you?

On another note, assuming any of those plans ARE accurate, Cannonball and Sunspot back with Cable? Oh my freaking sweet hell yes. But Daken? :down man, :down

wow...now if THAT happens...I could go along with that...except for Wolvie Jr....man..we just cant escape his influence/presence in ANY book can we?

well does any one know if theres a reliable link about this new strike team.

P.S. el bastardo name fits you buddy lol jk

I had wanted to see more of Daken (I supose I am the only one who found him even vaguely interesting), but not like this. He should just be an assassin that Logan comes across now and again.....
