Looks like they'll have to speed up the kid's growth, ortherwise Cable would be too old to be a nanny and a terminator at the same time if the kid actually grew up at a natural speed.

You know what's starting to bother me about this title? It feels like it's still in its early introduction phase. From issue #1 to King Size, we've had the exact same story repeated (Bishop closes in on Cable, Cable shoots back at him and leaps through time), with exposition about the ending of Messiah CompleX thrown into the story every other issue.

Did anyone catch the hint about Little Girl's powers? She was able to get herself on that high tree branch even though there were no low branches for her to have climbed. She obviously either levitated/flew or teleported. She seemed to be scared and concentrating as her eyes were closed and her hands clasped as if she were praying.

The writer pretty much confirmed on his blog that it was a clue and those who noticed it should be wondering how she got up in the tree.

Nay-nay also seems to be her name for Nathan.

Written by DUANE SWIERCZYNSKI

“WAITING FOR THE END OF THE WORLD,”CONCLUSION
In the present, Cyclops, Emma and Beast have been ambushed by Bishop and a nasty little surprise he’s smuggled into the X-Men HQ. Meanwhile, hundreds of years in the future, Cable realizes what the former X-Man has done to the planet -- all in an effort to make sure Cable and the four-year-old mutant messiah never, ever return to the present. Once again, the rules of the hunt have been completely rewritten, and the future of mutantkind has never looked more uncertain.
32 PGS./Rated T+ …$2.99

The kid sure grows fast, how long Cable has been to the future? She looks like 4/5-year-old. He might come back old enough to be Scott's great grandfather if he stays in the future any longer.

They'd just find a way to reverse Cable's age. After all, if Professor X can be a 70 year old who looks 50...

you guys are reading Deadpool?
'cause man...the comic is so great. it's really funny now. looking forward for the 4th issue.

It's not THAT good. I'm not buying it, and I'm a huge fan of him. The art's neat 'n all, but we still need Way off the title.

Idunno, this Deadpool is pretty good. Its not the best Deadpool comic but still very enjoyable. And while it hasnt added to the character development of Cable and Deadpool, it hasnt negated it either.

If they got rid of Pool-o-Vision which is a little too much then it would be a lot better.

True, I have seen worse. I expected this comic to be horrible because of Way but so far it isn't really that bad. I won't be dropping it unless it goes downhill fast.

I'd buy this book, but I only allow myself to read one barely tolerable writer at a time, and I'm reading Green Arrow/Black Canary. I'll consider pulling Deadpool when GA/BC gets a new writer in a couple of months.

Cable #8 will arrive in stores on Nov. 5 from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by Duane Swierczynski, with art and cover by Ariel Olivetti.

Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"'Waiting for the End of the World,' part 2. Cable has taken the mutant messiah to a safe haven hundreds of years in the future -- only to discover that this timeline is marked for destruction by a band of heavily armed soldiers claiming to be the remnants of the U.S. government. And that's not even the worst thing about them! Meanwhile, back in the present, Cyclops -- desperate to squeeze some answers out of Bishop -- uses an interrogation so brutal, not even the Geneva Convention covers it: a few minutes in a room alone with Emma Frost!"

Cable #8 will be 32 pages and will cost $2.99

I cringe at the sight of Emma's face.

Cable has a wife now? Seriously?

It looks like Cable had been settled down in that isolated town for a few years, so I can see him getting married. It's not like this is the first time he's had a family.

That family and peaceful family life likely won't last too long, Summers men are destined that way, and red has become the most boring color of female hair imo.

It's like every female character has red hair, these days. Do you know how many brunettes there are in the X-Men? And Emma doesn't count, because she keeps it blonde.

I don't know, but I generally prefer brunettes, as a matter of fact, any color is better than red nowadays, just like almost any kind of power is better than telepathy imo.

Can we please move on from Bishop. Im sick of seeing him and wish he'd go away

For the longest time it was just Jean with that hair color. Then they added Rachel (and Maddie), which made sense and before her, Siryn. When I think of redheads in the X-line, I tend to think of these women

Don't forget Wanda, who technically had auburn red hair that just happens to get drawn as brown 90% of the time.

I get kinda pissed when people color Siryn's hair as the same shade of red as Jean's. Siryn is a strawberry blonde like her dad, and her hair should be bright orange.

I want Bishop back as a good guy dammit. is he going to be chasing cable and baby...er... pre-schooler doom-bringer forever?
