DEADPOOL #4
Written by DANIEL WAY
Penciled by PACO MEDINA
Cover by JASON PEARSON
“SAY ‘HI’ TO THE BAD GUY,” PART 1 (OF 2)
His mission in “Secret Invasion” completed, Deadpool goes back to business as usual, completely unaware that he’s been sold up the river by a villain of incalculable guile -- a villain who won’t soon forget -- or forgive -- Wade’s sins. As the Skrull War winds to its climactic conclusion, the Merc with a Mouth has no idea that the worst for him is yet ahead.
32 PGS./Parental Advisory ...$2.99

I hope baby takes a crap on her and ruins her white outfit

I'm sure Emma would be scanning the baby's emotions just to avoid that happens, but I'm serious about not wanting the baby to be Jean, because then the baby won't be a breakthrough of Scarlet Witch's 'spell', just PF all over again, and it means that alien bird is also coming back, which is exactly what I don't want to read, and it surely would bring on the whole drama of Scott/Emma/Jean, which has mercifully settled down for a while.

King-Size Cable Spectacular #1 will arrive in stores on Sept. 10 from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by Brian Keene, with art by Chris Samnee and a cover by Kaaren Andrews.

Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"If you've missed Cable so far, this giant-sized, self-contained one-shot is the perfect chance to hop into the timestream and catch up with the story that blasted right out of the pages of 'Messiah CompleX.' If you think it's tough being Cable, hopping through time with a bawling kid strapped to your chest, try stepping into Bishop's shoes for a while. Yeah, you're a tough, smart cop, and you're no stranger to tracking time-traveling perps, but Cable is a new kind of quarry. Not only is he an X-Man who's very familiar with the future, he's also a highly-trained soldier who knows how to cover his tracks and leave dozens of down-and-dirty traps in his wake. For you, the stakes have never been higher. Every second that baby is alive means you're one second closer to your greatest nightmare. One you swore you'd prevent..."

King-Size Cable Spectacular #1 will be 64 pages and will cost $4.99

It's Jean, she'll be an adult by the time the next issue of Cable comes out.

Then she's either going to be a messiah for the mutant kind (or I should say it's the Phoenix) or the one who dooms their fate (again, it's the Phoenix), terrific.

POOR Deadpool.

The better character of the Cable/Deadpool mash-up gets the worse series. Terrible first issue.

I didn't think it was THAT bad. True, it wasn't as good as the last series, but I am hopeful it will pick up. :)

I hope they grow the kid up pretty quickly actually.

When it comes to time travel, things can always happen whenever they want to.

Then that crib won't see the day when its owner shows up.

Tell me about it. I'm not sold on Way's 'Poolvision', at all. He just doesn't get him :csad:

King-size Cable Spectacular was king-sized spectacular. Definitely worth the price tag. Swierczynski gets the characters and executes his vision and concept so wonderfully.

CABLE #9
Written by DUANE SWIERCZYNSKI
Pencils & Cover by ARIEL OLIVETTI
"WAITING FOR THE END OF THE WORLD," PART 3
Would you destroy the world, if it was your only chance to save it? No, not this world. A dark, twisted, miserable version of this world--one that shouldn't even exist. One that won't exist, if you succeed. That's the choice Lucas Bishop had to make it--and he'd make it again, in a heartbeat. He's been captured by X-Force, but it's all part of the plan. And while Cyclops thinks he's finally removed the only threat to the Cable and the mutant messiah child out in the timestream, he couldn't be more wrong. He's only made it worse.
32 PGS./Rated T+ ...$2.99

"HORROR BIZNESS," Part 2 (of 2)
This is what Deadpool has to resort to, only days after single-handedly saving the entire planet from Skrulls? Oh, that's right--nobody knows about that...Deadpool didn't even want this job. But here he is anyway, in some dank corner of Eastern Europe, going toe-to-toe with an undead plastic surgeon and his flesh-eating clientele, contracted by the head of a greasy paramilitary unit to avenge the zombification of the guy's young, ex-model trophy wife -- and all because Wade's dead broke.

Marvel has provided Newsarama with an exclusive look at November's Cable #8 by Duane Swierczynski and Ariel Olivetti. The solicitation for the issue reads: COVER BY: ARIEL OLIVETTI WRITER: DUANE SWIERCZYNSKI PENCILS: ARIEL OLIVETTI COLORED BY: ARIEL OLIVETTI LETTERED BY: VC - JOE CARAMAGNA THE STORY: “WAITING FOR THE END OF THE WORLD, PART 2” Cable has taken the mutant messiah to a safe haven hundreds of years in the future — only to discover that this timeline is marked for destruction by a band of heavily armed soldiers claiming to be the remnants of the U.S. government. And that’s not even the worst thing about them! Meanwhile, back in the present, Cyclops — desperate to squeeze some answers out of Bishop — uses an interrogation so brutal, not even the Geneva Convention covers it: a few minutes in a room alone with Emma Frost!

Olivetti's artwork is great. And it strangely fits the title, even if his Bishop is sometimes a little suspect.
