And just for the record, regarding this week's Die By The Sword...

WTF?? Psylocke getting HAMMERED by several men? Good God, they don't even bother with a net for this title, do they?

I haven't read any of the latest Excalibur run or any of Exiles...mainly because I haven't heard good things about them, except that Exiles used to be good.

That said, Excalibur has been good at certain points in the past...it seems to always have been hit or miss, as well as an acquired taste. An X-team in the UK isn't bad in theory...and I wouldn't mind Psylocke being on that team if they were able to make Excalibur as viable a "cousin title" as X-Factor. I'll believe that when I see it though. I guess I'll stay tuned to this topic in the hopes it'll happen.

So how do you make the book as viable a "Cousin title" as X-Factor????

Can you give us any more news on when we might expect the Paul Cornell relaunch of Excalibur to be occurring, and is there a regular artist yet assigned to the project?
Is it true that Excalibur will no longer be an 'X-title' when it relaunches with Paul Cornell writing? Does this mean there will be no mutant characters on the team?

So how do you make the book as viable a "Cousin title" as X-Factor????

The same way any book is made viable...get a good creative team on board and start putting out quality stuff.

yup chambers in new warriors. after he was repowered by clan akkaba and his genetic link to apocalypse was discovered he disappeared for a while. he turned up in new warriors under the codename decibel still sporting the grey skin and apocalypse-esque appearance. it was revealed that his new powers are some sort of sonic blast ability. every other revealed member of the new warriors turns out to be a mutant who lost their powers during m-day (wondra=jubilee, tempest=angel salvadore, blackwing=beak, longstrike=tattoo) but as it turns out jono's the only member so far who actually has powers that aren't tech-based.

Yes i thought Psylocke or Chamber too because they were the only English ones that i could think of, but they would not be too much of a surprise and it sounded like the editor thought we mite be surprised by this character, so how about either Union Jack, Spitfire or Spider-Woman joining??

the book focuses on a new team of new warriors led by a mysterious man claiming to be night thrasher (died in the stamford massacre). he's given a number of depowered mutants tech-based powers, new costumes, and codenames. they are an underground movement, fighting supervillains the old fashioned way and trying to dodge the authorities and the long arm of Tony Stark and S.H.I.E.L.D. in a world where the name new warriors is reviled and hated, they use the title proudly.

the book divides time between focusing on the team and a pair of NYC detectives trying to figure out exactly who this new night thrasher is (is he a pretender or is he the real deal back from the grave?)

well psylocke is a possibility but she's very obvious so therefore not very likely (frankly at this point i really dont care any more cause claremont's mangled her character)

chamber...not gonna happen

union jack's a fan favorite and he's gotten popular again ever since that mini he had a year or two ago

spitfire...i'd imagine whatever she's doin would be alongside union jack

and i wasnt aware spider woman was british. anyways i just dont like her, the only reason she's even as prominent as she is these days is cause bendis has a crush on her.

some other across the pond characters worth mentioning: black knight and siryn

more on the surprise end though: black tom cassidy? interesting dynamic...maybe even bring banshee back from the dead? not likely though
