Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"'Fallen Angel,' part 1. Chris Claremont makes his triumphant return to New Excalibur with one of the most personal stories of his career. One of the team's members suddenly succumbs to an all-too-real tragedy. The team must pull together and care for their fallen friend while their own lives fall to pieces. Also, this issue features the debut of all-new ongoing penciler, Scot Eaton! Plus covers from legendary X-Artist Salvador Larroca!"

New Excalibur #16 will be 32 pages and will cost $2.99.

people still reading this? I dont think Marvel should have done this series bc its nowhere on par with the rest of the X-line. Its just not that good whereas the other X-teams are at the top of their game. Claremont's absense sure hurt it and hopefully things improve with him back but I dont have much hope

I like this book overall. I'm glad Claremont is back. It's odd though, I started this book after Claremont left.

Well, that's just it. It's not really supposed to tie in hugely with the rest of the X-line, what with them being across the pond and all. I think it's fine so far. Yeah, it wouldn't hurt to spice it up a little, but there's nothing majorly bad about it, like some of the other X-titles were before the creative team switches.

I think the book is still damn good.

I love how much bigger Juggs looks now. Nocturne looks like a fairy on his back lol.

I started when Claremont left as well, mostly because I dislike Claremont. The book has been good, but now I fear Claremont will kill it. I will read a few of his issues, but if they start sucking, I'll drop it.

CC to do NE and Exiles. Crossover city

Yeah, you just know he's salivating at the chance to have a Dazzler and Longshot reunion, have Nocturne interact with her original team, and get some "emotional" scenes out between Psylocke and her brother when they'd reunite.

If Brian and Betsy get together again, you know crazy Jamie will have to make an appearance.

the crossover better be to bring Betsy back to 616. That is the oppurtunity for it to be done and if she stays stuck in the Exiles after, I will be pissed

Can someone tell me what the reason for the original excalibur series was?

Rule Britannic...britannic Rules The Otherworld...britannic Never Never Ever Will Be A Slave.

Anybody know where ~I can buy this NEW EXALIBUR....it looks cool...after all Britannic (Captain Britain) is the best superhero ever invented.:star:

to give Claremont a 3rd X-book? The X-men were at the height of its popularity and thats why all those spinoff series started to pop up

a book store or pretty much any comic book store

Why the Hell is Nocturne drew like an African American Girl? Seriously look hard and see what I mean this is worse than the whole Sage and M ethnicity with artists.

I've never known any blue African Americans

But what did they do? What was their purpose?

But what did they do? What was their purpose?
Excalibur started off kind of like a comedic series, and didnt take itself too seriously. Claremont infused alot of humor in it. The team was kind of like the "British" team so to speak having their base overseas. They dealt with alot of alternate universes and Otherworld stuff early on. Thats how it was for a while but somewhere around the 70s, it started to become more mainstreamed with the X-men universe and moved their base to Muir Island, which has been a focal point of the X-world for years. By issue 100, the team became more like an International X-men team and the lineup consisted of Nightcrawler, Shadowcat, Colossus, Wolfsbane, Pete Wisdom, Meggan and Douglock. If you've read Claremont's recent work on UXM, it was heavily influenced by his Excalibur work. He brought back Meggan, Captain Britain, Rachel Grey, Courtney Ross/Satyr-9, Roma, Jamie Braddock, Otherworld, Roma; all of which were Excalibur characters and concepts. That run also had Excalibur's creators, Claremont and Alan Davis, which further established the link
