Official JLA discussion thread - Part 1

I think the Bruce and Diana is more interesting than any other Justice Leaguer they try to pair her up with. With Aquaman, its like "Hey, they're both royalty, they belong together!" or with Superman its "They're basically the male and female equivalent of each other...They belong together!"

With Batman, its not a perfect match, though they do have their similarities. I dont think they should have a full blown relationship, but I prefer that to anything else.

I just watched the JL 2-parter Maid of Honor, and I loved that opening scene in part one where Bruce and Diana dance. I too think it's a great match. It just... works.

I dont know

I've heard that Barry does everything fast

I've always wanted them to get together. I think it would be great if Wonder Woman finally had a girlfriend confirming that she's bisexual which is already really obvious

Did you not dig Simone's Wonder Woman stories then Batman. I thought they were fairly neat apart from that blonde haired idiot who was her love interest

Etta Candy and talking gorillas. Good times :awesome:

I dunno, I thought they were alright, but I just sort of stopped buying them. Didnt really keep my interest. The first arc was pretty good, though.

I dont think DC will show Diana in a relationship with a woman, just because of her icon status. Middle American women and soccer moms would be pissed.

Exactly. They have enough in common that it makes sense, but with some differences.

The DCAU Wonder Woman wasn't really WW in terms of characterization. Well, she doesn't even have a stable one in the regular DCU. So this kind of "Wonder Woman belongs to..." talk confuses me.

Original Marston Wonder Woman and Batman? No Way.

Well, I read the first issue. What can I say? You cannot really rate modern comic books, since it's just a tiny part of the whole story. But I liked it so far.

Those two getting together, it's just too damn..........obvious. It doesn't work.

That said, they said that they will hook up at some point or at least will have a history.
DOESN'T WORK??

How about we try it first, before we say it doesn't work or IT's BORING??

What are you guys talkin' about?? They've never done it!! All they have done is tease us with it! But it's always Lois! They always hook him up with Lois! Again and again!

Diana is the only woman he can't break in half if they......you know...:awesome::fhm::hrt::wow::awesome:

Clearly she's not, since he was married to Lois for quite some time and they were probably going at it like bunnies.

Paul Cornell is saying that J'onn is a part of the Justice League. Comics Beat, which has read Stormwatch #1 says that the issue flat out says that J'onn is a member of the League. My annoyances of no J'onn in the League are starting to dissipate.
If J'onn starts appearing regularly in Justice League, I might give it a look. Until then, it's just lip-service. "Oh yeah, J'onn's in the League (but you'll only ever see him with Stormwatch)." That's functionally the same as J'onn not being on the League.

And with Batman its "The princess and the bad boy" you could come up with a lot of those. Just comes down to how the relationship is written. Though I wouldnt mind WW/BM together.

I was pleased to see that.

Yes, they always hook him up with Lois, probably because he's meant to be with her. :whatever:

:csad: You burst my bubble.

So why keep BLOWING UP their universes if they are keep going back to the same ol' same ol'???

Why does Bruce have to always have the hots for Selina?

Why does Ollie Queen and Dinah always have to be together..,

If you're gonna blow up the DC universe every 5 years, then why keep going back to the same formulas you just blew up???

Have Batman and the Black Canary hook up! The two are extremely compatible physically. Plus she's no criminal.

You blow it up so that Superman didn't fight in WWII. You don't get rid of the things that make him Super.

Go read Ultimates if you want to see Captain America go from the symbol of freedom to a dick.

Blowing up universes should change continuity. I'm not saying it's necessary to do so, but it's there to only change continuity. The characters pretty much have to stay the same.

Bruce has the hots for more people then just selina. Bruce is like James Bond. In Tec, they just set up a brand new love interest.

I can't even pretend to care how they feel. :awesome:

I hope Wonder Woman does have a girlfriend after the relaunch. It would be wonderful :) and far more interesting to me

Boy meets girl love stories in fiction usually bore me senseless with a very few exceptions

I prefer boy meets boy. Or girl meets girl ;)

I'd rather she got into a Marston Style 3-way relationship with Etta Candy and Steve Trevor.

Now that sounds interesting to me

I would absolutely read a story where that happened :hrt:

Seems more appropriate to the spirit of the character seeing as she was based off the chick that was banging him and his wife.

And it would be fabulous

I'm totally shipping Wonder Woman/Etta/Steve now. Make it happen DC
