Justice League International: Now this is what you call an comic a good amount of JL#1 readers wanted, close to absolutely no action until the end but setting up the JLI's existence and roster at it's core and what their mission, motivation and purpose in the world is. The International team offers us stereotypes from Britain, China and Russian, but man how can you not love Rocket Red? Da! In Soviet Russia, Bump Fist! I like the idea of Booster Gold being the leader and Batman the best moral support supporting this and giving him a shot, i also like how Green Lanterns are treated as the ultimate soldiers out there, i really like dit. So yeah i'm definately checking out JLI and whats it cooking up.

A lot definitely happened in JLI. Most of the first issues I've read have been slow, setting up characters and settings for the future of the book. But JLI definitely delivered. In 20 pages, we get to see the reasoning behind the formation of the team, the public opinion of the team's formation, picking the team members, and sending them out on their first mission. Lots of good stuff.

But I would almost say that the issue had a little too much going on. There are characters that have always been C- and B-listers that need more panel time, but they don't really get it. Vixen is in the issue, but didn't do anything the whole time. I kinda forgot she was there.

Overall, a good start. I'll definitely be continuing with this one.

Blowing up universes should change continuity. I'm not saying it's necessary to do so, but it's there to only change continuity. The characters pretty much have to stay the same.

You blow it up so that Superman didn't fight in WWII. You don't get rid of the things that make him Super.


Go read Ultimates if you want to see Captain America go from the symbol of freedom to a dick.

And why do you have to go to such extremes to make your point? I never said he had to be a jerk....

I saying if you are mixing it up...THEN REALLY MIX IT UP! Get outta the frikkin' comfort zone! You can still have nice guy with a different woman! Geeez! Does not have to be Lois or even Lana all the time!

I liked JLI overall I thought it was a pretty decent start to the series. I'll be picking up issue two of it when it comes out

JLI completely dominated JL. It's full of story and little character bits, and best of all, it didn't take more than one issue to show us the damn roster.

I looked her up and apparently she has powers similar to Marvel's Medusa, but none of the personality that makes Medusa a fun character.

Criminals are a cowardly superstitious lot. Being attacked by a living mass of hair would probably put most of them off a life of crime forever

Hopefully as the series goes on the characters are going to get a bit more depth and not be as stereotypical

I'm actually liking the direction JL is taking, the first story arc seems to be the intro for the character and them becoming a team while the 2nd story arc seems to be them fighting the threat, kind of makes me remember of Ultimates
