Elongated torsos? Turner did it well, Liefeld made it unbearable.

I've found robinson's JLA to be horrendous so far, but I thought I'd jump on with this issue since it's a new arc and see how it is. I forced myself to read through the endless boxes of unnecessary and excessive narration, and I found that the actual premise to the story is decent, but robinson delivers it in such a boring way it's almost unbearable. Tell the story through dialogue!

Morrison's run on JLA was amazingly epic and both Waid and Kelly's JLA comic books were great

I loved the new characters Kelly introduced as members of the JLA

Absolutely. I have all 4 Deluxe volumes, and they are the perfect blend of action, drama and straight-up CRAZY that make comics so enjoyable in the first place.
