Well, in regards to the whole Darkseid thing, this is a reboot after all, so the New Gods may not have had the whole FC send off in this new continuity. Of course, not sure how that'd quite work with them being on a separate Earth and all, but it could very well be one of the things that's being given a clean slate.

Just remember guys the 1st arc takes in the past, before Final Crisis and stuff.

I wonder how exactly Johns is going to approach writing the resident God of Evil, anything less than Morrison level is a step down.

But if he makes it a step up, it makes Final Crisis seem like a routine.

Against my better judgement as a lusty bisexual lady I kind of wish Kara had pants too

I'm happy with Wonder Woman's design though and glad she ditched the pants. And yep I her on that cover too

I'm kind of Darkseid'd out from Morrison's bad usage of the New Gods in recent years. Also I thought that DC said that we wouldn't see anything from the New Gods characters until Morrison's Multiversity.

But Darkseid works to unite the world's most powerful and smartest heroes. In order to get the guy with the most powerful weapon in the universe, the world's greatest detective, the King of Atlantis, the Fastest Man Alive, and the most powerful man and woman on Earth, you need someone absurdly powerful. Anyone else just kinda pales in comparison.

As if anyone didn't expect this but Justice League #1 will be August's #1 selling comic. Final orders for Justice League #1 have reached over 200,000 and is already 2011's best selling comic.
