It's two titles, one of which has been delayed. So a total of three issues. Corp just has brain issues.

There has not been a delay. It's been stated many times that JL was always solicited as a third week book, it just got shipped early the first month to lead the charge.

Your right, I'm sorry my mistake. It was late/early when I typed that.

JLA Panel Information
- Hal Jordan and Barry Allen seem to know each other as pages of #2 (comes next week) reveal Hal just calls Barry via cellphone.
- Aquaman will appear in #3.
- In Aquaman #5, Aquaman will fight in an airplane and the thing explodes, then he lands in the middle of a desert. "And he looks up and says, 'Uh oh,'" he laughed. "And hilarity ensues."

Johns said the first storyline will focus on The Trench, a new underwater threat. Issue #6 will be a Mera-focused issue by Joe Prado. And the next arc will feature Mera and Aquaman searching for who sunk Atlantis.
- Azzarello said he didn't "change" the origin of Wonder Woman, but instead "enhanced" it (referring to her having Zeus as a father). "I was kind of sick of the conversation being around her pants," Azzarello said. "I wanted to make it about her genes."
-- Will Justice League and Action Comics still have a higher price point going forward? Johns: Yes. "Starting issue #5, Gary Frank and I will do a second story in every issue called The Curse of Shazam." It will relaunch Shazam. Action Comics also has bonus material.

Does this mean Captain Marvel joins the Justice League? Or that they are using JLA as a way to promote lesser known characters?

Also lastly, but the best: A fan asked, "Does Aquaman have any land powers?" Johns: "Yeah, he can kick your ass!" Also even Jim Lee reminds some common sense regarding the complaiments about Starfire: - Do you have any thoughts or responses to the fans who were offended by Catwoman and Starfire's appearance in Red Hood? Another fan yelled, "Why is Starfire a ****?" Lee: We're doing 52 books, so not every book it to everyone's taste. In regards to Starfire particularly, it's just the first issue. It's premature to judge on only one issue, because Scott Lobdell has a full story arc for that character. "She's very self-assured, she's an alien from another planet, she has very different sensibilities than we do," Lee said. "I think Scott deserves the respect to be able to tell his story."

I'm worried. Aside from Morrison, Jeff Smith, and Frank Miller out of all people are the only ones who gave us decent portrayals of Captain Marvel in the last ten years. I'll keep an open mind about this but I'm always apprehensiveness when DC reinvents the Marvel family. As long as it's not badass Captain Thunder and his tank tiger.

I wouldn't mind the name Captain Thunder, it's the original name until they couldn't use it and changed it to Captain Marvelous and then shortened it to Marvel. :p Still yeah with a name like "Curse of Shazam" it can get someone worried.

That is the exact opposite of enhancing her origin Azzarello and you know it is

My faith in humanity vanishes more and more by the day

If they make Tawky Tawny a scary tiger monster instead of a friendly polite tiger in a bow tie who enjoys adventures and flying around on jetpacks I'mma be :cmad:

Sorry this post is so negative ;_;

This

Now to read some Shazam: Monster society of evil :)

Why is it that even when I'm enjoying a lot of the comics, I still find that their creators come off like obnoxious jerks in every interview or panel?

that preview of issue 2 was pretty bad. both art and writing. how has johns become so awful at writing hal?

I think it's just catching up to him. He might have lost the voice for the character after, or the fact that Hal really I'd a horrible character has decided to finally pop up with Johns. I honestly don't have much of a problem with this cock depiction of Jordan.

i have no problem with jordan being cocky. but he's so poorly written. the dialogue coming out of his mouth sounds like 12 year old aspiring to be a writer for the CW channel.

I just think Johns has been writing Hal for too long. Anybody can get lazy and complacent when they write the same character for 6 years straight.

"The Curse of Shazam"...wow, everything has to be so ****ing negative. Hate modern comics.

Good to see you back, since you left because of brightest day and such. What are your thoughts on the re-launch? I would think Action Comics is right up your alley. Knowing your perspective on comics, are you enjoying this decision by DC?

Don't worry Kurosawa, soon you'll be reading an One-Shot titled Thunderworld. :)

I like Action pretty good so far but I didn't care about the universe they just got rid of and I don't expect to really care about this one. I don't feel their books are any different. The names and costumes are different, but the books themselves look the same, read the same, have the same style of "writing for the TPB", etc. They managed to change everything and nothing at the same time.

The best thing about this launch to me is that they cancelled long running titles (Action, Detective, Batman and Superman) that I bought for years just because I had runs of them reaching back to the 60's. When Marvel did that with their classic titles, I cut them all and never looked back, eventually dropping all their books until now I don't read Marvel at all. I expect to do the same with DC eventually. As soon as Grant is done with Superman, I'll probably drop all DC titles and just buy reprints.

I'm never gonna get the kinds of comics back that I like, so I've pretty much given up. There's still plenty of old stuff out there that I like, and there's some series from other publishers like Dynamite's Tarzan series, that I need to support anyway. This revamp is great for me.

About you not reading Marvel, I remember you pointing out killing Bucky again as a reason you dropped everything. You're not even reading the Captain America and Bucky flashback series?

I bought issue one, but didn't add it to my pull list. I already read most of Cap and Bucky's WWII adventures in Golden Age reprints and in the Invaders. I looked at it as 4 bucks saved.
