Do you remember where you read this stuff?
It's safe to assume you already know the answer to that, good Sir.

Do you remember where you read this stuff?
Well i dont think there is any john stewart plans in the current gl film. Only cameos that been talked about are the guy garner and the possible clark kent cameo(though i can see ck one getting cut since superman status is unkown still).I am saying is he still set to appear in GL solo movie as John... since that is obviously no longer in developmental hell.
Maybe not, according to Noveck who read the script.I don't remember myself but didn't Miller add new characters and what not? Maybe the script became more campier and kid friendly? Not so sure myself.
The Justice League script was in the "black list" of the best scripts of 2007 and was reportedly very faithful to a couple of storylines from the books.
The 'black list' is an annual list of the best unproduced scripts for that year. I believe it's put together by those who've read them (i.e. producers, studio execs, etc).

IESB: I'm hearing that if it happens we should be hearing something pretty soon?
Common: Yes, that's what they are saying, if it goes. But you know you need to keep your pace and patience and let things develop. I've been a part of, I mean, Justice League and we rehearsed and everything.
IESB: Suits and all, right?
Common: Yeah I had my costume and everything so you know you just keep that faith and let things flow and not be to anxious and let things go.
[snip]
IESB: Give us an update, what is going on with Justice League, we hear that it's on hold, Megan Gayle recently said that she is hearing that it still might go. Some folks at the studio are saying that it's still a few years away. What is the latest thing?
Common: I haven't heard any talk from Justice League since last year I don't think it's anything that is going to happen anytime soon, I don't believe, my agent or no one has heard that they are bringing Justice League back soon.
IESB: It was close man, it was happening.
Common: Yeah, we were down there, we were down there, [with] George Miller.
IESB: How different was it compared to the existing Superman or the existing Batman? Different take?
Common: It was a fresh take, a fresh direction. I saw a lot of the storyboards, man it looked so incredible. And you know George Miller was just going to smash it.
Anton: And then suddenly Terminator came up and at the same time at that time they were going to be making a Justice League and that came up and I was like Wow. Theres three now. ****.
Right.
Anton: So Justice League ended up falling apart whatever-never happened.
http://www.joblo.com/index.php?id=26630Speaking of trying to grow, what ever happened with Justice League? That seemed like a really good opportunity. What happened with that?
I think, you know, at the time it was the writers strike that disturbed the progress of it. And then I just think the movie just fell apart for reasons inside that I really dont know, like the specifics to it. But, God willing, theyll come back around with it and when they do, hopefully I will be the Green Lantern.
So youre still pushing for it?
Yeah, I will go for it. If they do the John Stewart character. And who knows, they may go for Hal Jordan, the original Green Lantern. Cause theyre making the Green Lantern movie with Hal Jordan.
Wow so close for ya
Oh man, I had on the costume for Green Lantern, we was down there rehearsing.
Oh man
Yeah, it was for real, we were in production.
Damn dude, and to not really know the how and the why.
Yeah, we dont really know why. But we know something wasnt working. And you know, at this point, I dont think it is anybodys fault, it just didnt work out so I feel like, when its supposed to happen it will happen.
I think superman and batman should take a backseat and allow characters who don't have their own successful movie franchises time to shine. (Plus Superman is boring) Maybe it could be set in the period after superman is dead, and the movie starts with his death.

i still wish some pics of the costumes would come online so atless we could have seen what they wanted with costumes.
While we’re not suggesting you hold your breath waiting to see George Miller’s live-action “Justice League” movie, that doesn’t mean we’re not intrigued with the fact that such a film almost happened — and taking every opportunity possible to find out more about it.
At a recent press event for “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” MTV News spoke to actress Teresa Palmer, who was once the rumored front-runner to play Talia Al Ghul in “Justice League: Mortal” before a host of issues stalled the project indefinitely. While Palmer confirmed that she was — and still is — tagged to play the daughter of Batman villain Ra’s Al Ghul, that was where her certainty ended about any aspect of the film.
“I’m still attached to the film,” Palmer told MTV News when asked if she heard any news about the film. “But who knows if the movie is going to come off the ground or not. I hope it does, obviously.”
“I have no idea. I’m always the last person to find these things out,” added Palmer.
As for the experience of getting all ready to play some of the comics world’s most iconic characters — to the point of trying on the costumes, in some cases — only to have the project be suddenly thrown into limbo, Palmer said it was just as big a let-down for the cast as it was for everyone interested in the project.
“It was very bittersweet, because we got there and we were all really excited that this film was going to come off the ground,” said Palmer. “We rehearsed for a while, and then it all sort of fell through.”
