I agree but I couldn't ever put the Hood and Hitler in the same category. more like a super powered organized crime. Organized crime and genocide are two very different things.

If you think about it..many villians or anti-hero types have done everything bit as reprehensible as Hitler and we are asked to , at times root for them, or see them in new lights...

Some of the worst offenders who have certainly rivaled Hitler...

Thanos..Killed half the population of the universe in cold blood. He's also shown to have set up "death planets" with long lines of people headed into ovens in IG.

Dr. Doom..he's committed atrocities I'm sure, a totalitarian monarch.

Kang..he's a totalitarian kinda guy also, he's conquered the world in other times.

Magneto...decimated tons of people.

So maybe more like a Constantine? A self proclaimed emperor who simply forced everyone to fall under his rule and then united everybody by enforcing single minded ideology. He was extremely prosperous and history states that he was basically loved and or respected by his people. Maybe? (Germany is full of history). I mean, when Mr. Fear turned down the Hood ...well...It didn't work out too well for Mr. Fear. I can't tell you how uber excited I am about this new Hood mini coming out this month though.

Very true. However, I'm just starting to realize that I think my point was taken a little out of context. I'm not saying that the Hood is like Hitler during his reign. My point was that their rise to power was the same. A leaderless group of people who were struggling just to survive and then they follow the first person who steps up that has what they think is a good idea turning them into a dangerous group of people. They both used a specific group of people to blame their problems on and used the hatred of their followers to fuel that fire. Afterwards, Hitler chose Genocide. The Hood chose a more monetary target.

I was simply trying to bridge the gap to how the Hood went from just looking out for himself to Kingpin powerhouse and still have it be in his character. Basically, it was the same way a kid who was kicked out of an Austrian art school did.

I'm not talking about what they did after they got there. I'm sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

But he did discriminate. His whole campaign was, "let's get back at the heroes." He blamed the heroes for their misfortune and to retaliate he organized his group. I mean his first act to prove he was serious was beat the hell out of Tigra, simply to show everyone that he could. Hm...sounds like someone else...

Anyway, game in point, Hitler sucks! Hood rocks! Difference?...One's fictional.
