Official New Avengers Discussion Thread!

The Hood is at the moment, the worst ''A List" villain in the Marvel Universe. Seriously, everything he does is comedy gold.

The demon aspect of him was the only interesting part. Now he's just a guy with Skittle guns who might still be able to turn invisible.

If you want a character ruined, Let Bendis take a crack at em.

They really should've portrayed his power via the Norn stones better. The Norn stones should not be the butt of jokes. :csad:

I like how Loki says the power of the stones is basically whatever you what it to be, and the Hood comes up with exploding bullets. Really?! That's what you come up with?! What a tool. Bendis' limited creativity, or Parker Robbins'?

And Cage surrendering himself to Osborn for medical attention? Why the **** would Norman save him after he made a fool of him in his own tower and wrecked Venom and Bullseye?!

True. and of course Bendis won't kill his boyfriend, but really, is Norman gonna say "Oh Mr. Cage, let's get you all fixed up. Hey, would you be interested in a little something called American Son II?"

So,... Someone explain why Cage would go to Norman before Richards or Noah Burstein ????

Even Doctor Claire would have more of a clue,.... This doesn't make sense to me.

Cage is a big-time Avenger now, dude. There are plenty of alternatives. The Night Nurse, the FF, Beast, Cecilia Reyes, Jane Foster, etc. All of them treat superhumans--some more begrudgingly than others, granted--and aren't actively trying to kill Luke 90% of the time.

Right, but the Night Nurse was probably closest. I mean, how much time do you really have in a heart attack situation? And Norman's psycho squad was right behind them.

But you'd think with his bullet proof skin and all, they'd go to Reed Richards first.

He didn't have any time. It was a heart attack, not indigestion.

With thought after rereading the issue:
OKAY,... Cage had no choice as to where they took him,.. but I'm still irritated that EVERYTIME he gets hurt enough to require surgery,.. he always ends up at someone's door who throws up their hands and say's "I can't get thru his skin"

MEH

I liked it better when his skin was just as strong as steel and could be punctured. This unbreakable I'm invincible thing is getting old superfast.

Richards has the tech to easily bypass his skin,.. he's had years of experience dealing with the Thing, she Hulk AND Luke CAGE.

Besides marvel gave themselves an out,.. they say he can be cut by an adamantium blade or an overpowered laser.
(Hmph - Electronically explain how you "overpower" a laser? It doesn't work that way.)

Oh, I'm not denying that at all, and that's the smart move. I'm just saying I liked his durability before his skin upgrade from hard as steel to invincible. Bullets used to sting him.

The Night Nurse is banging Dr. Strange. He probably gave her a magical scalpel that can cut through anything. :)

Cage 's decision was fine w/ me. He was desperate, the Night Nurse suggested it, and he was pressed for time :o

Just drink some of wolverine's blood, problem solved. Although on second thought that might result with a mini wolverine popping out of his chest ala Alien.

So i guess you could say "The Night Nurse is playing Doctor with Dr. Strange!" .... Ahem sorry couldn't resist

The only thing (trying to put a positive spin on this) is that Luke Knew The NA were going to get caught so he offered himself as a diversion while the others got away. I dont think he wanted Osbourne's help but to help the others . In that, it was cool! I still aint going to dig my boy in chains with &^%$#* Venom slobbering all over him saying "hey you remember what you did last time we met. Especially with Osbourne having the Tech to take away his powers.

Oh no you didn't!!!:cwink:
(I kant spell off of that) Hahahaha

Funny but jacked up Corp

I hate how all the other comics have the Hood in demon form and they just finished a story where he fully bonds with the Cloak. New avengers makes it worthless. Actually new avengers really sucks in the timeline. The rest of the marvel universe has moved forward but yet new avengers is stuck in between.
