Great pics CGHulk. I'm loving the maps, and the floor plan of Bag End. Looks so cozy!

Lol, everyone's favorite un-dwarf is right there on the foreground.

you think the dwarves got a tattoo like the fellowship?

that poster is showcasing the least dwarf like dwarves lol

The goblins look great, but can someone explain to me why Bilbo has been subjected to sharing the foreground with Kili? Hell, Kili draws your attention more than Bilbo does.

The focus on Hot Dwarf in the promotional material is starting to piss me off, frankly.

I still find nothing wrong with Kili. I love that every dwarf looks completely different. So what he doesn't have a beard, its not that big of a deal. I also love how bad ass Thorin looks

Bilbo is definitely third in that poster. My eyes went from Thorin to Kili then to Bilbo.

Its not even so much that he's beardless rather than the fact that they obviously went out of their way to make him "attractive."

And again, all of the other dwarves have facial hair and you can tell them apart. In what way exactly would adding one more bearded dwarf ruin that?

Well, he obviously DOES have facial hair just not a full beard. Who the heck cares anyway other than us geeks on the net. If that's the WORST people complain about then we're in for a pretty spectacular movie. I'd rather they get the character right than be worried about a fictional species having somebody who is attractive for the lady audience.

Actually my 14 yro niece who's never read The Hobbit looked at the screen I was on a couple days ago and asked me who the cute guy was and why he was in that picture. It happened to be the muppets styled poster.

Fantastic. More power to get 14 year old girls into the theatre. Again, it's such a minor nitpick that if it's going to ruin someone's enjoyment of the movie than they have serious issues that they might need to figure out on their own.

Yes it is a minor nitpick so you should let the nitpickers nitpick.

Except you know, there's a whole added in love subplot between the bearded dwarf and a made up elf character. That is troubling, and is indicative to some of the underlying hesitations people have with these films, especially now that a 300 page book is being stretched out to three films.

The beardlessness is just a needlessly silly but currently tangible nitpic.

Can't believe the handsome dwarf is causing such a ruckus. You guys are just jelly. :p

So what is it? Hot Dwarf, Handsome Dwarf, Sexy Dwarf, or Un-Dwarf?

Yes it is a minor nitpick so you should let the nitpickers nitpick.

When the same few persons make the same complaints day after day for dozens and dozens of consecutive posts it stops being a minor nitpick and becomes a tedious chore for everyone else to wade through. There are plenty of other things to discuss about these films than one minor costuming choice for a single supporting character.

Well its a bit more than a costuming choice don't you think?

I see your point but have to ask. Why not start a new discussion rather than complaining about the complainers. As it stands at this moment i can think of little to discuss that hasnt already been discussed so i will happily engage in a conversation on any topic about this film. If you want to start a new discussion. Ignore the kili discussion and start a new one. By making comments about the kili discussion you only reinforce it.

We will find out that Kili is in fact adopted and is half elven already, anyway. That will be swell.
