I'm fine with what we got. Maybe they won't even stay in those clothes as the movies progress, anyway.

I think he let the actors have a say in the design as well. Which is more important that the acting is there than two more inches of a beard. Again, not a big deal.

Actually, I'm sure that they'll all have armor on for the battle of the five armies, but unfortunately we'll have to wait until the third film for that.

A Question why does the Hobbit since it has 3 movies does not have its own Forum. I mean Star Wars does which i get. But seems like Hobbit and Rings would make it a big franchise.

I am thinking this movie will be good but being sure a big LOTR movie fan. Not sure The Hobbit can pass it at being better with my great fondness for the original 3 films.

woah they're hoping it will be finished 2 days before the premiere. they're cutting it pretty fine.

lol @ that 1 guy, "i just stare at code all day." and the beard mocapping

wish they didn't release this. it's going to make this next month even more unbearable because it looks so amazing.

Starting rewatching the LOTR trilogy. Looking forward to seeing this next month. I like that Peter Jackson has released vlogs for this. I wish more directors did stuff like that.

There is an interesting essay on The One Ring about what will likely go down in the three movies. What are the odds that Peter puts the Battle of 5 Armies before Smaug's death? The essay argued that if Smaug died in The Desolation of Smaug , audiences wouldn't understand the need for There and Back Again.

My brother's friend went to New Zealand because she won some contest, and went to the Shire! The pictures are awesome and I haven't been this jealous of anyone in some time. Need the movie now!

That would be a horrible idea, IMHO.

How would that even work without changing fundamental elements of the plot completely?

[BLACKOUT]Smaug's death[/BLACKOUT] is the catalyst to the catalyst that lead to the battle of Five armies which Bilbo slept through.

That's why I don't agree with the essay. All you have to do is mention that the Battle of the Five Armies is about to happen. Sort of like the Battle for Middle Earth speech in Two Towers.
